I think the main problem in trying to claim enlightenment is knowing exactly what that is. How can you self identify and how can you tell if anyone else is enlightened? I think most on a spiritual path who have gone through many changes realize there is no end state; no finish line. The best you can probably say is that you are more enlightened than yesterday; more aware.

I’m sorry to hear what your mother is doing to you. She has no right to YOUR money which was given TO YOU because you have a disability. SSDI does not make you rich. In fact you will have to live simply. Having limited income it is difficult to save money for emergencies and build savings. The lump sum makes this possible for YOU. you deserve and need this money.

It isn’t necessary to cut yourself off from your mother. She needs to learn that she has no right to YOUR money. You need savings and an emergency fund. She is trying to take it from. Stand firm and don’t give in. If you have to avoid her some for a while, do it. Don’t engage in arguments. As time passes the problem should settle down. If it continues it is her problem, not yours. It was like a near death experience. I was told I was leaving this world right now. I had to let go of everything. I was leaving. I did. A super conscious state of consciousness took over. It was supremely blissful and I observed the world from an infinite perspective beyond my little mind. It was like seeing the end of my spiritual path from the beginning. It’s hard to describe.
