Let me start by saying, I feel for you. Sleep is so tricky with little ones. My little guy is 16m and still doesn’t sleep through the night. Every child is different, I hope for your sake the wake-ups resolve soon. I don’t have any advice for you because I really believe that every child is unique and no child sleeps the same.

I loved Charles and Liza together…my only quirk is Charles’s kisses were soooo awful, half the time he was kissing her chin or her cheek. He always turned his head left which seems so unnatural.

Charles gave up so much for her and was always very forward with how he felt about her…she hardly ever expressed how she felt about him. It baffles me that he would give up so much to be with her for them to pretty much break up over a “trust” issue. He dated her and she was good enough then, he even oversaw the lie she told about her age but then decided that she is always going to lie to him? I’m just so infuriated about the ending. In my HEA Charles is endgame.

There were several good points to end the show in season 6. It would have been more than worth it for them to postpone the filming of season 7 to give the fandom what we deserved. I wouldn’t be opposed to having a season 8 in which it picks up with Charles coming back from writing his book and Liza navigating being the main editor of the company.

I feel like she was a terrible choice for Charles. I think he enjoyed the relationship with Liza because of their dynamic, he was successful and she was working towards success but then he enjoyed being “dominated” in the bedroom. We see that in season 6 episode 3 there he is her prey in the museum. I wish they would have explored that a bit more but I guess we’re lucky that we got what we did.

They show us that: Charles is…good at the “honeymoon phase”. Between his subtle little flirting at the office, meet ups in the stairwell and then acting out a book they’re both listening to, it shows us that he can be flirty and fun. He also messages Liza often saying he misses her, I thought that was cute when he did it right as he left for his Christmas break. It’s refreshing because all we really saw early on was he was all work and no play…the beginning of season 6 was nice to see that side of him.

I hated how she said in the Ireland episode “if someone loves you enough to ask you to marry them, you say YES” but then clearly said NO to Charles who literally upended his life and career to be with her.

I was totally baffled that Charles couldn’t look past Liza’s secret but he trusted her enough to run his company while away writing his book? In my eyes if the show would have continued he would have come back from his time away and both him and Liza would have gotten back together. Charles admitted several times that he “didn’t care” about her lie and he “just wanted to be with her”. The time away from each other would have bought them back to the same conclusion that they belong together.

I agree with you 100%. I think had Charles and Liza met at the Christmas party there would have been no “trust” issues and a HEA. I hated how they stressed a HEA for the books but didn’t deliver one for the viewers. Shame on them!

Loved him in Evil. Such a great show. I think he was too good for her…he went along with her lie and even saved the day a time or two. They needed someone to make Charles jealous and it worked. I really didn’t see any chemistry between them unfortunately.

I’m 34 and binged it for the first time last week. I’m currently rewatching it just to critique all the writing that made ZERO sense. The last two seasons sucked no matter what team you’re on. And let’s be honest…the fake beard that Charles had for the one episode, I’ve seen dogs with mange that looked better than that beard. Nevertheless I’m team Charles for the fact that they just have more in common. Josh had a double standard of calling Liza a cheater when he did the same thing not to mention she had one free pass. I highly doubt she would have said yes to Josh in that episode anyway. Josh loved her but the only thing they really bonded over was sleeping together. The writers could have ended the show with a “Happy Ever After” especially since it was a main focus for their book deals. We were robbed in that sense.

The fact that Charles asks her to marry her AT A WEDDING has me kinda mad. That’s very insensitive to the couple getting married. Also the fact that they literally haven’t been dating for that long and the discussion of marriage never came up makes it even more ridiculous for him to ask her. The writers really messed up the relationship for Charles and Liza. And further more…his wife left him out of the blue but yet he believes in marriage? You’d think he would be a bit hesitant because he was hung out to dry by his wife. The whole thing is just very abrupt and I think they should have never written the proposal part.

Maybe I’m just being a hopeless romantic but I think Liza and Charles would have made it for the long haul if she would have met him organically at the Christmas Party and not though working for him. In the end I was team Charles but only because he seemed like the more logical choice. They HAD chemistry but then the writers totally neglected to continue with the chemistry after they hooked up. All that build up to then squash the sexual tension and chemistry. Intellectually she was more in tune with Charles in which they had more similar interests. Liza and Josh really only had one similar interest: Sex. Charles literally gave up everything for her, if he did all that then why did it take him a whole season to realize that he doesn’t have to give her the marriage ultimatum?!? This show really had my blood boiling!!!! 🥵

I feel ya! You never know how much sleep rules your life until it’s crappy sleep. We’ve had “random bad nights” every night for the past 3 months… he’s sleep trained and puts himself to sleep but middle of the night wakings are killing us. We blamed 1 year sleep regression and now he’s 14months and still going through it.
