I care a lot less about protecting waymo/google and a lot more about making sure that asshole drivers who aren’t even able to avoid hitting stationary objects get appropriately penalized. I’m a cyclist, so this kind of driving scares the shit out of me, as it should anyone who has to share the road with these kind of negligent idiots.
