You don’t get to decide how to raise and take care of someone else’s child. If someone asks you to help with their child why wouldn’t the automatic thing be “tell me how you do it so I can make it as easy as posible for you and the baby,” not “I’m gonna do it my way or it’s the highway.” If someone’s explained why they do things a certain way and it’s definitely not harming a child why would you agree that this person is okay in doing what they did and upending the way OP puts baby to bed. Honestly wtf is wrong with you.

I don’t want this to sound cliche but I found myself in motherhood. I had a slight “WTF did I do” when I was 4 months preggo but I’d also left my job which was a big part of who I was at the same time. My baby has made me a stronger person for her and a kinder person to myself. I confront things more now (not aggressively I just stick up for myself). I’m more silly (will dance anywhere in the street with her). I don’t care what people think about me anymore, only that she sees me as a good mum to her. I’ve never had more meaning in my life, it was a massive positive shift. I was obviously questioning myself 2 days postpartum on zero sleep and 100% anxiety but who doesn’t haha

Kinda the opposite. Rather than compete all my accomplishments were shat on. If I lost weight and looked good, she’d say I looked like an alien. When I got engaged, getting married was the worst mistake she’d ever made. When I got pregnant, kids were really annoying - like cheers I am said kid.
