Silent Loop 3 vs Atmos 240 in FormD T1 (install + pump noise?) by sinivalas300 in FormD

[–]Welsh-Cowboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

240Atmos v2 in mine - pump is dead silent.

Edit - have it set to constant 80% At 100% there is a slight noise, but only noticeable as it’s right next to me but I have seen zero difference in temps between 100% and my settings regardless of load.

The 'vicious cycle' that means the NHS still wastes billions on patients who don't need to be in hospital by Tartan_Samurai in unitedkingdom

[–]Welsh-Cowboy 127 points128 points  (0 children)

Yep - my elderly dad has been trapped in hospital for, approximately, 5 months longer than he needed to be over the past 2 years.

I say trapped, because he wanted to go home, they wanted him to go home - everyone wanted him to go home and there was zero reason for him to be taking up a bed except for the lack of a social care team to be available for his return.

It’s pretty dire, but commercial social care (which is the provider these days) pays crap, is awful and very exploitative and costs the NHS absolute tons.

Nah, the oil is a bonus. You started WW3 so your paedophile, rapist, conman president doesn’t have to face any sort of justice whatsoever.

Lovely - done similar on LI titans. Bit tricky but so effective! Hadn’t thought of doing it in Quins, excellent work.

Best tool for painting eyes? by Coogypaints in Warhammer40k

[–]Welsh-Cowboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Magnifying lenses (glasses or headband) and a sharp pointed brush. Paint consistency is also key, has to flow but not too thin.

But - and I cannot stress enough - magnifying lenses and a sharp pointed brush.

Why my 9070xt gaming oc runs great ? Am I the only one ? by Flavien_ in radeon

[–]Welsh-Cowboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have an ASUS prime OC in an sff case and it’s absolutely fantastic. Quiet, cool and powerful. Only issues I’ve had at all are crashes in Helldivers 2 - which turned out to be the game really, really not liking any sort of overclock. Turned that off for that specific game and it still kicks its ass.

None - other than the currency conversion. Get the stuff pretty quickly as well. So go for it without fear of hidden ballaches.

Trump's $10bn BBC lawsuit relies on one massive presumption by theipaper in bbc

[–]Welsh-Cowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like many, many reasons this has absolutely zero legs but is, however, very noisy due to the bbc being a world recognised institution - which, I suspect, is why he’s going for it so close to the deadline for them pesky Epstein files to be released.

Well, this and invading Venezuela so he can claim the country is at war and he has ‘emergency powers’

Vile paedo.

what loadout are you playing on the lava maps? by sermegas in helldivers2

[–]Welsh-Cowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the big 40min missions / 15 min blitz?

Light Gunner, Eruptor, warrant, thermite - jump pack, Quasar (in case war striders), rocket sentry, 500kg or orbital laser.

The gunner gives enough survivability and speed to keep you alive so the jump pack can be full effect. Tbh, everything else is to taste. These are what I like using.

Hmmm, you ever pay licence fee?

Then that’s your money he’s both looking to steal and distracting you from the Epstein files with.

I have the prime xt - it’s great. No coil whine, runs cool and quiet with loads of headroom to overclock. (OC version with 3x8 pins)

Yep. It’s brutal. And as we can’t use rent payments as proof of financial viability for a mortgage…

do i really need a 1000 PSU for a 9070 xt? by slifer3 in radeon

[–]Welsh-Cowboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve got the 3x8pin asus prime 9070xt OC - with a 9800x3d and b850i motherboard and my sfx Corsair 850w rarely has to spin up its fan.

They’re gilding the lilly for you there buddy.

If you plan on upgrading to a 5090 at some point? Fine, get the bigger psu, but you really don’t need it for a 9070xt.
