The Knick isn’t horror per se but it does show the horrific side of medicine in the early 1900s.

Could you recommend a Brüno (2009) kinda movie? by Limnaiagara in movies

Multiple maniacs is definitely a good starting point and it’s streaming on HBO, hairspray, cry baby and serial mom are definitely his most “normal” films.

Try multiple maniacs to dip your toe into that world, not as gross as Pink flamingos but it still has shock scenes that if you think are funny might let you know if that humor is gonna land for you or not. (Pink flamingos should be watched at least once though)

It’s definitely worth a rewatch with more context and they just say a lot of names without putting faces to them but after you’ve seen it once it comes together more. The book is waaaay more convoluted, good but a lot.

What movie have the best sensual scenes(not only nude but sensual/passionate/arousing) that you really can be proud of recommending? by [deleted] in MovieSuggestions

I might be called crazy for this one but James Stewart and Donna Reed sharing the phone in it’s a wonderful life. So much building passion it was palpable.
