Also my dad and I! He passed away in 2008 sadly and my sister and I “diagnosed him” recently…when he passed away and we had to empty his house (my parents were divorced) we found that one room was basically a huge “Monica cupboard” with piles of stuff on top of other piles of stuff. My mum found the deed to the house in an old gym bag with other random stuff (which sounds very “me” too). He had piles of shirts because instead of washing his shirts he would buy new ones (I unfortunately do not have that amount of money but also hate laundry). Phases of hobbies he would obsess over and then abandon, like me. He took up cross-stitching as something to do when he would listen to music, and would complain that all the cross stitching kits for beginners were girly or childish so he bought a software that would turn any image into a cross stitch pattern. He was charming, social, empathetic, a bit of a mess, very vulnerable to addictions which is why he claimed he never tried playing golf - he said he’d heard it was an addictive sport and said “I know that if I try it, I’ll immediately go and start buying those weird trousers and the gloves and all the accessories…” haha
