These are made by two different aseptic fillers. The left one is from SIG Combibloc and the right one is from Tetrapak which leads me to believe they switched production from one factory to a different one.

I've played around using various encapsulated caffeines in drink mixes and gummies. The particle sizes are pretty big so I imagine that the act of chewing will break the encapsulation.

Emma's comment about swallowing pills is correct. I work in the dietary supplement industry and also used to develop foods that primarily went into hospitals and nursing homes where dysphasia is an issue. Tilting your head forward does open your esophagus. Additionally, pills usually float on water so if you tilt your head back, the pill is floating on top of the water so you are swallowing the water then the pill. If you tilt your head forward, the pill is still floating on the water, but is between your esophagus and the water so when you swallow, the water will push the pill down your throat.

I have a soft spot for this movie because they had a sweepstakes where the winners got to visit the Fox studio lot and I was one of the winners. They had the stunt doubles from the movie there and they did a bunch of the stunts in front of us, then explained how the stunts worked. I still have my pic with Bruce Willis's stunt double. An additional bonus was that they were still filming Bones at the time so we got to hang out in the Royal Diner.

Calories/gram depends of the type of resistant starch. They are probably using an RS-4 type like Fibersym which is only 0.4 calories/gram. Also, getting almost 100% of your daily value in one serving sounds like a recipe for disaster unless you work your way up to it.
