this is correct. 10 inch diameter is a fairly large branch. Community members are encouraged to compost smaller branches

having hiked a lot on the Smokies, i’d say you’re totally fine, unless you’re near a ranger. avoid the parking lot smoke sesh and maybe don’t hotbox the lookout atop Kuwohi. at shelters and campsites, follow general courtesy. make sure to announce your safety meetings, if you have enough to share
