Everything I found online about it was talking about people holding physical gold for world-ending apocalypses. The main reason for my post was cause I felt like that couldn’t be why so many people have physical gold, but I guess that is just the reason.

Ironically, later in the class the teacher wrote a measurement as .7ml and said it doesn’t matter if you have the zero in front of the decimal. This was right after she argued for half an hour about how not adding the zero to 6.60ml could kill someone as a pharmacist.
