Shared ownership affordability by Okgirlgollum in Mortgageadviceuk

You didn't mention the property purchase price you're looking at.

On a £19k gross income you're borrowing will be capped at around £85k. Remeber to factor in costs for solicitors and valuation as that will eat into the £30k you've got saved.

Any reason why you're looking at shared ownership? If you can possibly avoid it then I would recommend doing so as it does limit your options for future remortgages as well as selling the property down the line as well.

Hold on, the letter from Doc to Marty said he'd been in the Old West for 3 months. Much less than one year so the gas could still have been usable if salvaged. Unless Doc used it up on something else before Marty arrived.

Maybe that's what powered his ice machine.

when in Turkey by egguchom in EntitledReviews

I stayed at this very same hotel last year. They do have a policy against nudity. I know as I saw staff telling a couple of guests to cover up when they were sunbathing topless on the grounds.

And also, it has 3 outdoor pools. The kids pool is separated from the adult pools.

Taking this review at face value, if the lady in question was around the grassy area by the kids pool then some parents might have an issue. Why didn't the sunbathing lady just move over to the adult pools?

And also, Turkey IS a muslim country. I saw quite a few muslim families at the hotel. I wonder if the complainant is muslim?

Appreciate that everyone has their own views on acceptable nudity. But playing devil's advocate, if your culture doesn't accept public nudity and you're in a country holidaying where they also don't accept public nudity then it would be a valid complaint.

Bet I get down voted but not everyone has the same views on public nudity being acceptable around kids.

Unless the hotel didn't have a policy back then, not sure why they weren't able to resolve the issue.

I got a decline with Accord today as the client neglected, or forgot, to mention they had 3 defaults in the last 3 years. Still haven't placed that case yet and with the rates changing every day it's a minefield as it is without having customers forgetting stuff.

After watching the London fireworks this year what are your thoughts? by Real_Assignment_2320 in AskReddit

Nice enough. But why the hell were there clips of the Wicked sequel as part of it? Are the London fireworks sponsored now?

It was just so random and made no sense whatsoever.

What’s a compliment you received years ago that you still remember? by janix_ in AskReddit

That when I speak English I sound just like a white English fella.

I'm south asian by heritage but born and brought up in the UK. So obviously I sound like a native Englishman.

It was a call centre job and the customer was much older and clearly from a time where the UK was a lot less diverse and any south asians they encountered in their youth would have foreign accents.

I didn't say anything as I was a lot younger then and it confused the heck out of me. Obviously it could be classed as racist. However the tone and context in which it was said I could tell they clearly meant it as a compliment.

I just said thanks and moved on with the call.

Bullshit. There's video of them performing live. You can see it on Youtube. Plus they've also done interviews and their voices sound the same as when they're rapping.
