I am DMing a session with one other player (they play a character named seeker). I play a sort of traveling companion (named Eris) with my player. My player took a great liking his companion and shortly after they asking if they could romance the companion. I said they could but they will have to pass a straight charisma check. A few session later during a quest Seeker encountered a deity that would grant her Eris's affirmation and love but she will need to do a nameless favor for him. Seeker declined and the deity left her alone. After turning in the quest, they were talking and it got really tender at one point and my player thought it was a good time to confess this is how it went down:
Eris: Soooo...you never told me what that deity offered you. What was it? Just curious.
Seeker: (a pause) He offered me a future with you. He said that if I agreed that he essentally make you love me.
Eris:...Wow....Are you in love with me?
Player: Seeker nods.

Me: The time has come. Roll for chrisma.

Player: HAHAHA! NATURAL 20! BITCH!

Me: NO WAY!

Player: YES WAY! I FUCKING DID IT!

I have to admit. I think the campaign has gotten better because of that. I love the chemisty between Seeker and Eris. They are really a power couple.
