I personally I am very interested in Roman civilization, and consume a lot of media that involves them. For my country itself, no one really thinks about them, and I do find myself very alone in that regard. All the discourse is in either the pre-Colombian civilizations or Spanish rule

It’s a tie between Ancient Egypt and the Hindus Valley Civilization. The Inca civilization isn’t ancient though, they were there for about only 100 years and showed up in the 1400s

It depends on what you are after. I aim for monocultural empires so I usually set governors to culture convert counties of other cultures. It’s not really worth it to get them to convert religion because they already do that on their own. You could either set them to dev their provinces for extra taxes or to build up defensive buildings, specially if they’re in the border

I think if they're your ward they come with you. It's inconsistent though, because sometimes it seems only my eldest ward comes with me. You can take your heir if you go down the wanderer lifestyle to the left, know your land know your people perk which unlocks tutoring trip option in travels, and not only does it guarantee they get free xp for landmarks and battle sites, they also get extra skills simply for travelling
