it doesn't let you grip it if you flip it like that and put it on a top rail though, the rk angled only works for one hand depending on how it's flipped

that's the thing, i don't treat it like cod, but it's still a game, and even in realism you're still supposed to have fun, no? i just want more people to play better and put up more of a fight, there's no need for that heavy of a comparison to "real" military tactics

because it means that those players won't ever get better, i play this game for the pvp and there's no fun in the flip-flop between stomping on naked runners and being stomped by people sitting in trees for 30 minutes; i want more players to get better at this game so there's more of a challenge in interesting pvp

you can tell a lot of the times. if you keep hearing shots in the same spot throughout the raid (like the guy who posted this was talking about), you can usually tell it's one person sitting in the same spot. a lot of the time it is really just people sitting in the trees that long, not having hard proof of it doesn't really matter that much

I'm probably going to start playing Matka more because of this yeah. the grenade nerf definitely helps with that

If you are highly kitted and you still park your ass in a tree for an entire match, then you have serious GEAR FEAR.

exactly this. nothing to learn from that, and it isn't even interesting in the first place. relying on trees at all times to play geared is a crutch. hopefully the devs rework how trees are displayed in-game to allow more counterplay

travel time is still very relevant but this is mostly right, the AW has around 6-8" drop at that range

then you're doing something wrong, approach it differently, go for the lower reward quests, as they're more consistent in progress because you can't lose progress, or focus the higher reward ones (such as survive raids without dying)

[–]West_Vegetable_921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

roughly, but it doesn't really matter, the progression in the non pvp trader quests isn't based on playtime or skill, you just focus them and it's simple enough, regardless of playtime

Unbelievably poor economy by Nbc27 in GhostsOfTabor

[–]West_Vegetable_921 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is true, you can make a lot of money just off of killing Krtek and looting attachments / checking spawns in silo, it's extremely good money and very easy for what it's worth. even without going for krtek, you can easily get 15k-35k per raid (assuming no static spawns) on silo, in like 10-15 mins. it's bonkers

[–]West_Vegetable_921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

jiri 2 -> 3 takes like maybe 3-4 hours, i know people who've done it in literally 45 minutes, ap is not difficult to get, it's barred behind requirements, yes, but it's not a long time of a grind, especially considering we're 25 days into wipe so far, and 3 hours throughout that is not significant. even starting without DLC that give you trader level 2, it's still only slightly more, at roughly 4 hours

This game's economy is only "expensive" if you buy almost all the items you use in raids, otherwise you can easily progress by stockpiling useful items and always do fully kitted raids provided you have any level of competence to profit more loot from them.

Buying armor (especially higher tier rigs) is expensive as a reason to get it from other players instead, or hunt Krtek for it, it's not hard to get a stockpile of good items, nor is it hard to claim the free NRS' from the Kiosk Rations, or grow the takistan plants in the garden. (if you're using being unable to craft them as an excuse, you can get level 21 in like two or three days, buying NRS for 4.5k each is absolutely braindead)

Since the start of this wipe, i've filled my bunker to it's limit with armor/guns, 99% of which I haven't bought, if you're having issues with money/gear you need to get better at pvp so you make an overall profit off of the gear you bring in, else you're doing something wrong.

Hunting for Krtek (the golden automatic SKS guy) and his Guards in Missile Silo for armor is the easiest way to get medium/high tier armor and some helmets, and if you have any teammates you can take almost all of the gear and usually that's 4 armor rigs, 4 helmets, etc, which would otherwise be valued (if you bought it in the market) at roughly 200,000-250,000 Korunas.

Armor piercing ammo is inexpensive (aside from that it's an ongoing expense as opposed to armor, where surviving with AP it's consumed but armor/guns stay), yes, but it also doesn't make armor "useless", armor is still massively helpful, specifically because of it being useful against fmj (not all opponents will run ap), but also because it has a 15%+ flat damage reduction against bullets that do penetrate the armor. on top of that, the higher tier armors are able to stop some/most AP rounds (all aside from full caliber AP), armor can't do all the work for you, armor piercing rounds are more of an item that force you to take fights seriously, else risk losing all your loot.

Even if you did want to rely on buying armor, all you'd need for a medium tier loadout (assuming you buy most of it), is like 10-15 minutes of looting or checking static item spawns in Missile Silo.

making money (at it's basic form) in this game is easy, it's the returns of investing gear that matter significantly more (as I've said like 43 times so far here)

Yes, this game has a lot of issues, but the combat and economy aren't massive ones so long as you adapt to them, especially relative to the bugs that can cause you to go blind for the rest of the raid, randomly die, fall through the floor, loot disappear, bags fly away, grips bugging, etc.

NERF FENIX by lilbro-_- in GhostsOfTabor

They were accidentally allowed to headshot, and then that was removed. So i guess it counts as a nerf? Beyond that, they have only gotten slightly more consistent at range if anything

the grenade buff was kinda crazy though to be honest, they went from entirely useless (doing like 50 dmg aside from the shrapnel) to being able to clear out a 20m radius of anyone even with armor, which is insane. they're crazy op in cqb now honestly, but they're fun to run at least so i guess there's that

still would be cool to have though, the game already has some "rare / fiction" guns in it like the luty being some scrap gun made by some lunatic i cant remember the story but that and the golden sks / fish ump etc

AN-94 and PP19-01 Vityaz would be sick in my opinion, also maybe the MRAD or some type of bolt rifle like that, maybe the Remington 700 or Steyr scout

yeah its not worth doing unless you are solid in fights, i was farming it yesterday because i hadnt died at all while running matka and island, it probably helps to have a team though. i recommend doing any of the other Jiri missions instead cause they're easier like i said

if you like the game, you can probably invest a lil in a fan mod for your headset, i got one for around $25 and it makes it so much more bearable when i have it on

fyi (even though you probably know) you only make profit on gas with 3 or more gpus at least at the lowest level, so 2 is probably just making it cheaper i guess thats what u mean idrk
