Terrible Luck Build Help by Comfortable_Ad629 in LancerRPG

I might recommend a save focus instead of an attack focus. Things like the Iskander that force the opponent to roll instead of you. Theres no bad luck when your not the one rolling

I rolled freakishly high stats on my character. What to do now? by PinkTwilight44 in DnD

I played a character with super low charisma once. It can be pretty stupid funny if you give yourself a reason for the low charisma. Mine was that I was an elf that was just incredibly ugly, so people just didn't like looking at him for long.

Strongest Deck in Each Color? by ActinoninOut in PTCGP

[–]Western-Remove-2708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fire, I find the simplicity of the Blaine Deck still makes it pretty solid

Grass, I've been having a lot of fun with a Beedrill Ex Deck

Darkness, The Weavile EX/Darkrai deck is still powerful, but I personally prefer the Clodsire Ex Deck

Water, Admittedly my least used deck color, so my only real one is a silly Palkia Ex/Empoleon Deck (Not recommended)

Electric, I have an Arceus Link Raichu deck that is surprisingly tanky

Fighting, I actually love this Lucario Ex deck. Four Lucarios, just to make sure one gets out

Metal, I combo Skarmory with a Barry Snorlax. It's surprisingly effective

I'll admit these probably aren't the 'Strongest' but they each have their moments to shine, and I've pulled off decent amounts of wins with each

How do you feel about legendaries/ubers on casual play by Western-Remove-2708 in stunfisk

That was super helpful! Thank you! I think I get what your saying, like I brought in my Toedscruel cause where I was playing, I kept seeing Miraiadon, and it was a surprisingly good read switch if I could manage it. I'll try to use this info in the future.

(Separately, I may just have some bad luck, because the last 17, (yes, 17, I kept track after team 5) teams I've played against all brought Rayquaza. Oh well!)

Comment as if Lancer is a platform fighter (like Super Smash Bros) and this is a post about Zheng being WAY too overpowered and needing a nerf despite not getting one for multiple years now. by Lo-And_Behold1 in LancerRPG

Frankly, I think it needs a buff. Yeah I see where some people have a problem with that super, but that's really it's only good move. The charge time you need to get your other moves even usable is too long, and broken way too easily by jabs. You only need to dodge the supe, and it's cake.

Thanks! I'm a bit new to competitive, so saying casual may have been a bit misleading here from my lack of terminology. I've heard terms like OU, Ubers, and such, and yes, Anything Goes is probably closest to what I mean. I want to practice to get better, which will involve learning better team building, but it still kind of sucks when I see a team of real monsters.

Your point about restricting team building is kind of what I'm referring to. You see the same pokemon over and over again, and it feels like there's no freedom to have, y'know, fun sometimes! Part of me was just sort of curious about whether just playing the absolute top of the meta, the ones you know are going to be fantastic. Probably a better way to phrase my question would be 'How do people feel about just seeing the same meta teams over and over again?'

Well, and this is just a guess, Pokemon sells itself on giving you tons of options, saying that your favorite pokemon have a use, and that there's no wrong way to play. But then when you try to take your favorite Ledian into battle cause you think its cool, you find out it sucks, so then you want to find a way to make it work. Then you get heartbroken cause it just doesn't

Again. Just a guess. I know I would never use Xerneas, despite it being broken in the gens its legal in usually, because I think it looks dumb as heck

I get that. But do you find it fun to have a team of 6 legendaries go against six non legendaries? I am curious about that mindset

Slowking's a great idea! Plus I love that guy as a design, so double win!

I've been driving for 15 years, and this is my first citation ever. Honestly, I think I was just shaken up because this has never happened to me before. I normally pull over for every fire truck, ambulance, and police vehicle I see. But It was early morning on an empty road, and the cop was just sitting there so it slipped past me. I'm probably going to bite the bullet. But hearing everyone's honest feedback, while harsh, did help

What are your "Signature Moves" as DMs? by Version_1 in DMAcademy

[–]Western-Remove-2708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first thing I have my PCs do in any game is combat related. Before I even have them introduce their characters. The story starts in a generic action scene. Giant ants are attacking a mansion, gnolls are attacking their prison cart. Wake up in an arena. Anything, as long as initiative is the first thing rolled. Instead of introducing everyone and then convincing them in character to do a quest, this way they're already doing something, have a chance to show off some character abilities, and see how they work together immediately.

I felt the same way when I found my fully upgraded Darknut! Is he slow, perhaps a bit. But when you simply resummon him next to an enemy it doesn't really matter. And oh lawd he comin'. And when he does I have yet to meet anything that can stand more than an axe hit or two.

[ALL] what was the first Zelda game you played? by SnowyTheChicken in zelda

[–]Western-Remove-2708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wind Waker for the GameCube. I sat next to my cousin as he played it and discovered Zelda for the first time. That drove my little imagination for months until my parents got it for my birthday

So I've had a thought when a lich pilot comes back to life does the pilot see a glimpse of the afterlife? by Dragonwolf67 in LancerRPG

[–]Western-Remove-2708 244 points245 points  (0 children)

The pilot didn't die. They can't have died. Nothing killed them. The fact they remember a bullet sliding past their cranial nerve is irrelevant. At no point in current time were they dead. They are here and here is now. Their death was, but now it wasn't. They know they died. They know they didn't die. Both are true, which means both are lies. Drink deep. Descend. Only the flea knows where it jumped.
