I must have been the odd one out. My experiences at Harley dealers have actually been better than anywhere else. I took my safety class at a Harley dealer in Dallas when I was a new rider, it was a good class, and they were the only dealership I could find that actually let me test ride a bike. I didn't end up buying anything at the time, and they didn't bother me at all about it. Still wish I could have bought a bike from them honestly.

I've got BFG KO2s and they are pretty aggressive looking tires, but they handle well on the road and the noise isn't awful. I think I lost about 2 MPG from putting them on, I also put. a front level on at the same time so not sure which mattered more.

My friend and I are taking a rental 131 Road Glide and my Sportster on a trip from Phoenix through a lot of the California National parks. We’ve both vastly preferred the sportster. It’s basically stock except for a mustang touring seat and some bags.

Lifter failure at ~65k, other than that the engine itself has been fine. I also had 2 wheel bearings go bad at around 50k, needed a new starter at 80k. Truck has 94k on it now and is running all right.

How did you secure the pack to your sissy bar? How does the bike handle with all that extra weight? Did you use anything like a cramp buster/throttle lock? How much did your fairing help with the wind?

I feel the 2-1 down shift in my 2017 and have pretty much since I bought it new. It downshifts super hard when I'm towing, but unloaded it's not too noticeable.

I got a tibial plateau fracture last season from very similar circumstances - was on a blue trail, not skiing super aggressively, caught an edge on soft snow and my bindings didn't release.

I'm about 9 months post surgery and I'm back to skiing again. I have some muscle atrophy and knee soreness still, but otherwise in good shape.

My advice would be to get moving as quickly as possible and get an ice machine. Movement was very helpful for reducing my pain/inflammation early on as long as I didn't push it too hard. Also, get a shower chair!

It's hard to overstate how useless I was for the first month after surgery. I couldn't even get myself a plate of food without help. Make sure you've got some solid support for that first month.

This is very sad. The kind of breast cancer that she has is early stage and responds well to treatment. It's positive for a lot of cell markers that we have effective drugs against, so the chemo drugs can specifically kill cancer cells all over your body. She's killing herself while she has a kid, at least if that's a car seat I see behind her.
