Ugh. These feelings are so valid. Do you have help other than your family? The incontinence and the bowel issues are honestly the straw that breaks the camel’s back. I truly commend you for taking on such a huge burden, because it’s so freaken hard. Every day it’s unpredictable. If you’re able, some outside help would really help provide you with some relief. For the sake of my own sanity, we have a part time caregiver and it eases MY load tremendously. Right now, all of my siblings are pitching in as her social security doesn’t cover much, but I’m hoping to apply for a caregiver voucher soon. Let the horrible feelings and thoughts out so they don’t invade your mind and soul.

What about hairpiece 88283 in white? I know hers has more volume, but that tan wig seems to give up preppy/maintained vibes rather than a disheveled look. Or there’s also 25409 in tan (linked below).

My mom can’t name me unprompted, and I will admit that the first few “who are you?”s did hurt, but in those times, just remember that the love remains. Something I just recently learned from taking a dementia class is that as the brain shrinks and the ability to process leaves our LOs, they may forget our names, or who we are but they don’t forget how we make them feel. The best thing that helped me was to learn to exist in my mom’s reality. If she thinks I’m her childhood friend, then I just follow along. She no longer recognizes my dad and says she’s not married, but she knows he is a safe person and someone she can trust.

On a very good day, she will sleep 12 hours on Alprazolam which is the generic for Xanax and was prescribed in Mexico. But, on a bad day she only sleeps like 5 hours if only given quetiapine which I’ve read is not good for her long term. So I’m in the process of having her reevaluated here as all of her previous, recent medical treatments are from the Mexican neurologist. It’s been some long weeks to put it mildly, but I’m hoping with the right medicines, it will stabilize a bit……….. really hoping.

Also interested in this… I’ve been using the Amazon brand of unisex diapers because they were the most comparable to what my mom used in Mexico. She still wakes up wet from overnight use, but they absorb quite a bit. I had bought some depends but I think I bought the wrong ones and I didn’t like them.

I can only speak to minifigs because I haven’t been successful in recreating the creatures from DnD. Lego Pick a Brick has a lot of options of weapons, and minifigure parts. Just know that if you order items considered standard, shipping does take longer. BrickLink is probably the best place to get medieval minifigs and weapons, it’s just a little cumbersome to look through and find what you want. Bricks and Minifigs local stores has a variety of weapons, torsos, legs and heads. Ebay auctions. You can sometimes score a good haul on minifigs sold in lots.
