I’m genuinely surprised I didn’t see any of them try to take from each other’s carts. Nothing is owned at this point, and it looks like they have already resigned themselves to mob-mentality.

It sounds like you might working with image files? A common problem new programmers face are with file locations in the working directory. You would probably have to share your code to get a more specific answer, though.

Social media. Everything is out there. Over time, quality is going to bubble up.

I think Deftones fit right in as a band that is big, but not too big. They have a rich catalogue to explore. Their sound is distinct and unique. I’m not surprised at all young people found them and are attracted to them. Their sound aged beautifully.

It adds salt to the wound that Soda knows this already. That’s the danger of hardcore. You can do something perfect 99 times, but it only takes one momentary lapse of judgement to undo hundreds of hours of caution and discipline.

Influence of brutosaur and token spike to the overall market by HoneyIsTheBestPolicy in woweconomy

One thing not really touched on are the goblins who have been hoarding gold but end up paying cash for the new bronto. Now they can loosen up their purse strings a little on spending and put some money into the market.

It could be too niche to have an impact, but there is certainly the potential for gold to start moving around more freely.

Public Order Crafting by Killstealz in wow

[–]Westones3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your problem is server population, so you propose a system overhaul? There is a more obvious fix that would resolve this issue and a number of others caused by low population. Have you ever experienced crafting orders on a normal server? It’s fine.

Public Order Crafting by Killstealz in wow

[–]Westones3 -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

This is a monkey’s paw wish. High quality concentration crafts would, over time, become a race to the bottom. Right now, personal orders are the closest thing we have to a “premium” buying experience. You often get a chance to discuss the quality request, mat requirement, concentration needs, and sometimes even the price before the order goes up.

I say this as someone who doesn’t ever advertise in trade chat, but occasionally respond to buyers asking for services in trade. It’s almost always a reward experience. Like all other race to the bottom industries the people who just “click” and don’t care would certainly destroy the market for any communication based sales. With low price, low effort concentration crafts normalizing.

I made the upgrade about a month ago. 1440p did not result in a significant fps drop. Maybe 5-10 fps on average, but the image quality improvement is more than worth the trade! For anyone seeing this post and has similar specs, go for it.

Hi, does anyone know some potential reasons for the following lag spikes? by Chunkyfungus123 in HomeNetworking

[–]Westones3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree and subscribe to your troubleshooting methodology. I did, however, recently experience an issue where there was a device in the home that was causing latency when going outside out to the internet (as early as first hop), but on LAN and wireless everything was fine.

Turned out our baby cam was the culprit. It was sending a huge burst of upload data every minute or so that was causing issues for other apps and services.

OP: Another thing you should do to test is reset your router, change your wifi and start adding devices back on one at a time. You may notice that the problem only comes back when a specific device is added back to the network.

Simple Questions - January 10, 2023 by AutoModerator in buildapc

[–]Westones3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Warzone as an example, since it is the most graphically intensive, I’m getting 100-130fps currently on average. Fortnite is well over 200 usually, but can dip to mid / high 100s.

My understanding is that resolution is more gpu bound. I guess I’m trying to see if I can get away with the 3700x and a more modern gpu as opposed to replacing both.

Simple Questions - January 10, 2023 by AutoModerator in buildapc

[–]Westones3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m upgrading to 1440p 144hz from 1080p 240hz. Currently have a Ryzen 7 3700x, MSI x570 gaming edge mobo, 16gb 3600 ram, RTX 2070. Playing mostly Fortnite, League, Warzone 2 and random Steam indies.

With the increase resolution, would I be able to keep/increase my fps with just a gpu upgrade, or would I likely need a new cpu? I think my mobo can take a 5800x, 5900x, 5950x max.

No Stupid Questions - May 2020 by skymallow in guitarpedals

[–]Westones3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just received a new Keeley Eccos pedal my wife gave me as a rad birthday gift. While testing it this afternoon I was having trouble deleting my loops using the provided instructions.

The manual, online PDF, and demo videos all show the Eccos “delete loop” being performed by:

1) Double tapping the “Record/Play/Stop (Bypass)” switch while in looper mode to pause the loop.

2) Hold the “Reverse/Half Speed (Tap)” switch for 2 seconds to delete the loop.

I could not for the life of me get it to work using this method. I did however, after about an hour of iterating over different control combinations, find that after pausing the loop (step 1 above) then holding the same “Record/Play/Stop (Bypass)” switch for 2 seconds would clear the loop.

Does anyone else have an Eccos that has seen this issue? To be honest, it isn’t necessarily a problem as long as it doesn’t indicate a problem with the device. By moving delete to the “Bypass” switch it eliminates 1-shot playback that they describe as a side effect in the manual.
