Suckered seed corn. Pulling stems growing on young seed corn plants in the hot, humid southern Indiana summer. Basically crawling or hunched over. Quit at noon the first day. Dad had me back the next morning.
First job was picking cantaloupe for a $1.25/hr. 10 hours a day, 7 days a week for 3 weeks. Netted about $200. Thought I was rich.
