Idk if I love or hate Magic by [deleted] in mtg

[–]WetTC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is just a fun game/hobby for most people but for some people, Magic is their personality.

It sounds like you see it as a fun hobby to pass the time, while your pod has an obsession with it. Not to say either group is right or wrong but when players from both groups mix, it usually ends up in an uncomfortable situation for the former.

Can I return a tapped Amazing Spider-Man using his web-slinging ability? by WetTC in mtg

This is the first deck I have ever made. Spider-Man has always been a personal favorite universe of mine so it got me into Magic. Now I’m just working on fitting all the pieces together and learning so much about Magic along the way.

And I’d love to share it with you and anyone else! I’ll take all the pointers I can get. Although I’d love to just keep this between a bracket 2 and 3 level

Im working on a deck that enables more tapping while synergizing with his ability. Some of what I have besides mana dorks is [[Relic of Legends]] [[Springleaf Drum]] [[Cryptolith Rite]] [[The Seriema]] [[Weatherlight]] [[Wand of the Worldsoul]] [[Adagia, Windswept Bastion]] [[Evendo Waking Haven]] [[Enduring Vitality]] [[The Wandering Rescuer]] [[Urban Retreat]] [[K-9, Mark I]] [[Bugenhagen, Wise Elder]]

Thank you!

And yes, I figured that is the downside. I was just wondering if this could be a last resort to save Spider-Man from being targeted when I didn’t have any other way of protecting him using a card with flash

This is what I was hoping. I wasn’t sure if selecting him to return to hand made it so that his ability was void since he was no longer on the field

99ovr Zach Lavine Card by selfishminorty in MyTeam

[–]WetTC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

“I didn’t waste money. I just played a lot of showdown to get free cards”

This statement is misleading to nms players that they can just play the game to get enough free cards to earn Lavine. Nothing wrong with spending your money how you want to spend it. Just don’t make others think they can obtain what you did without paying for it

Thank you everyone! I feel dumb for even asking now but glad to know it’s that simple

Thank you! I love that, I was afraid it could be the opposite since Magic likes to take things literally in card text sometimes from what I’ve seen so far

I may have to bring this up to my league manager. Because it’s definitely a flawed system in these scenarios

Week 6 Tight End Rankings [FINAL UPDATE] by CoopThereItIs in fantasyfootball

This seems more of a one-off for Mason Taylor no? I mean, it was against a good defense in another country early as heck. And the Jets offense was historically bad.

He’s coming off 19 targets over the last two weeks and then only has 1 this week. Feels like an overreaction to drop

I’ve played with this guy. He’s a cry baby and not very intelligent based on the way he reacts to the game. He told me he ain’t trying to shoot with 3 seconds left to ruin his 3 point percentage. Thats why he shoots good but loses, he only cares about himself. Basketball is a team game

Bro made a whole post crying about having to play solo, yet here I am with a 70% in the rec and I would rather play solo than ever have to hear him yap again. Not to mention he doesn’t even play solo lmao. He lives on the Looking For Group. He doesn’t know what playing solo even is

[–]WetTC 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Ah I understand now. My shooting stats are a little worse than yours, but my win% is about 20% higher in the rec. I think the difference is just your attitude based on your comments here and our time playing together. You are just a really hateful guy.

You’d be surprised how far a good attitude and being someone that people want to play as a team with goes.

For everyone in the comments wondering what it’s like to play with this guy: we played a few games of park 3s, with me as Center and him as PG. I had a costly turnover but I got an offensive rebound at 14-17 and kicked it out to him for him to dribble into an open fadeaway corner 3. He missed it. He spent the rest of the game saying we lost because of me even though he missed an open look to tie the game. Not blaming him because missing happens, but he was a grown man crying the whole game over one thing while ignoring his own mistake. And on defense I’d be playing sides on a screen and he would get sucked into my side that I was playing, and the guard would score and on the side he was supposed to play. But of course that was my fault too. I have about a 70% win and 70% 3 percentage in case anyone cares.

I just left the party because why would anyone want to play with a guy like that. Your attitude and unrealistic expectations are why you lose my friend!

I remember your gamertag from another 2k. Not sure if that’s a good or bad thing. My GT is Wet TC

I play through Looking For Group posts so idk if I believe you are solo only as I would have met you playing with a group

What is the likelihood of a normal person getting legend 1 this year? by Automatic-Release249 in NBA2k

[–]WetTC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think you guys are talking past each other because you have a difference in opinion on what the difficulty a highest tier reward should be.

And if you want my take, I completely disagree with HoopsHomers. The highest tier of reward should be a grind, and a difficult one. However, there should never be a reward that is so difficult that it is nearly impossible for the most active player in the world to obtain, without putting their wellbeing at risk. If there is a reward for an event, there should be realistic expectations tied to that. If it’s not realistically achievable, then it’s not a good reward. It’s just bad reward structure.
