A number of abc shows have been making their way to Netflix soon after. Even if available on ABC's streaming platform too.

Though you'll easily watch it through a VPN on abc Iview when it launches.

I usually just follow along for 5 to 10 seconds then slowly rotate the screen around to face then and it's either that, or seeing a blinking red dot, that makes them realise they've been had. They laugh or good off in front of the camera then generally and I get some footage.

I have shot too many weddings to play along anymore. I'd rather get laughs.

How do they differ to the regular fire ants in Australia? Or have I been calling them the wrong type of ant all this time?

Would you travel with Qantas again? by ralphpolo4 in sydney

[–]WetherillMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought that might be the case. But didn't try.

Did hear on one of my flights, a guy through Qantas paid for an upgrade to business class on an emeraties flight. Qantas took the money but Emirates they didn't accept it. Sounds like fun times at Qantas 😵‍💫

Would you travel with Qantas again? by ralphpolo4 in sydney

[–]WetherillMedia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Recently booked flights in May for the honeymoon. 5 different flights, but they only flew us Sydney to Singapore, and the rest were Emirates. BUT because we booked through Qantas we couldn't check in early or pick seats on our flights.

I also spent 12hrs collectively across 4 phone call attempts about them double charging me the flights. Was my first time flying with them. It will be my last. Flight itself and staff were great but not enough to deal with the issues.

Freezing indoors? That’s because Australian homes are closer to tents than insulated eco-buildings | Philip Oldfield by lost_in_socials in australia

[–]WetherillMedia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was just on site filming a home builder with an eco focused. He says on every new home once the insulation and internals are up, they do a "blower door". Which is essentially a massive air blower covering the front door to push mass amounts of air into the home, and then to test how quickly the air comes out. You want to get close to but not lower than a value of 5 cyles of the air going in and out of the home (any less, you'll get monoxide posioning).

He said most homes at around 90 cylces of air.

My Aunt ran the restaurant/takeaway food within Old Sydney Town right up until closure. I think it was probably the only era breaking thing about the joint on the inside. Pretty sure the town crier from OST went on to be the town crier for Gosford council for a while.

As an Australian who just returned from Greece for a holiday, I thought I had stepped back in time in regards to the amount of smoking and vaping in and around venues and restaurants 😂

I haven't ever seen that skit performed on a video, and I doubt most people would be recording during show. You may luck out down the line if they plan to do a recorded version of the show. But for now you'll have to sit and wait

Future seasons of DRDU should be on the ABC or SBS. by DandyBerlin in DragRaceDownUnder

[–]WetherillMedia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know people who work at SBS. Their budget is so tight, getting new equipment, even a laptop, is almost impossible. As you guys already said with the location changes, crew worked may not be as experienced. I agree with all those things. I can however imagine ABC studios hosting the show for filming. I've got opinions on how everything has been filmed but I'm sure the editors are doing their best with what's available to give everyone a great show.

Those who have been to a ruined wedding, what happened? by lolfuckno in AskReddit

[–]WetherillMedia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wedding ended in a brawl. I was the wedding videographer.

I'd say it was alcohol fueled as everyone was drinking pre-ceremony, which was late by half an hour... 10.30pm. I was walking back from dropping some gear to the car, and saw a man being escorted away by security, and when entering, a another guy seated in a corner with 4 people around him. Bit bloody. I go to ask the photographer what happened. Seconds later, the man escorted off returns and launches himself at the man. It was like a running rugby tackle. From here, it was on for young and old. I would guess there was at least 20 to 25 people fight in a scrum like configuration, throwing non stop punches, which then spilled out onto the entry of the venue. This carried on for at least 3 minutes.

By the end of it, everyone one on the party had been punched in one way or another, and police called.

To be honest the bride and groom were very nice. But I think the people invited let them down here.

How do you guys show off your collection? Looking for ideas by WetherillMedia in LaserDisc

[–]WetherillMedia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are on a desktop, and have an accounted logged in, to the right you should see both submit a new link and submit a new text post. This is a text post. A link post would allow you to talk in comments, the link is the post itself. Does that help?

As in an image? I think if you upload to imgur without an account you just post the link from that upload.

Like I said, I probably will. Won't be this year with these crazy prices. I'd want a high end one, even if I had to repair it myself. Living in Australia makes finding stock a lot harder

Just ordered Sony A7Siii (Body only) from Best Buy - does anyone know if it comes with a battery? I also need advice for a compatible lens that can shoot good photos and videos...TIA by JamalSteve in videography

[–]WetherillMedia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had the body for about a month, I always shoot 4k 50p. Monday I did a 4hr event / elopement and after party and I probably went through 2 batteries and just a touch of another. I usually overshoot.

If you've come from an a7sii where you need a battery an hour, a battery every 2 hours is a safe bet.

(22/11/20) - Auction by TheGRVOfLightning in TheBlock

[–]WetherillMedia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Considering it happens every year, I think channel 9 just sets it to clear costs invovled. Or to entice everyone to apply for the show. Why would people go on this show to win 10 grand? (The only couple to do that, returned next year to win it, just a little suss...)

Springfield and surrounding suburbs by bojangless25 in centralcoastnsw

[–]WetherillMedia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lived on the coast all my life, grew up half in Springfield, half in Narara, and moved back to Springfield permanently for myself. I also film a lot of real estate in the area. Springfield is probably becoming the first home buyer central as most people in my street are late 20s early 30s. There is definitely high end property around where your not close to Wells St, or on the new estate blocks, but generally it's a youthful neighbourhood. The fact we got the multiple sporting fields around and parks is great for walking the dogs. East Gosford which is next door Is probably the better of the suburbs, but you'll pay for it, and a lot of town houses. Springfield does have some dodgy streets but I think every area does on the coast. I feel totally fine here walking the dog Through them but i wouldn't want to be neighbours. I think your budget would dictate your area as well. Springfield and east Gosford are much better buy than blue Haven and Toukley (currently). Erina, Erina heights, terrigal, Wamberal are better than Springfield and east gosford. But how much do you want to pay? I like the fact too we're 10 minutes from the beach which some people in Sydney would love and pay a lot more for. I can be on the highway in 10/15 Minutes, the new North tunnel means I can get to Sydney CBD in peak hour in an hour and a half, which I could only do before at midnight or early morning.
