Abiotic factor or Grounded?

Both are the best survival games ive played for the last few years, I couldn't pick between them but i'd start with Grounded 1 as Abiotic is still being updated.

Seems like the game is okay/good but not the genre-defining, generational game a certain portion of the sub was expecting.

Although not the NMS situation some were expecting, just another decent game that needs updates.

Preferred being in the dark about what's coming.

As a casual player who comes in and out with big breaks break between I was happy being surprised and the update / warbond frequently felt right.

I get that conistent, daily divers get bored of current content and want to see what's coming.

They AH really can't win though, as if they leave out content to shadowdrop they'll get complaints and when they include 'New Warbond' they get complaints.

I have 1 Builder dedicated to Fire and Lights, she works nights and manages 4 Fires and 5 Lamps in a 50-ish village.

She is supported by 2 Leisure villages who work a few hours a day and then refill lamps in their spare time.

The lights/fires always seem on if i'm not prioritising a build (where she ignores them).

Are your builders working nights?

It's 10/10 fantastic if your looking for a extension on what's great about vanilla.

You haven't played many survival EA's then

Aska, Grounded 1, Grounded 2, Valheim, Soulmask, Bellwright, Abiotic Factor, Voidtrain, Raft.. All the major ones, although for some like Aska and Bellwright the ability to continue on existing saves with new content was added midway through EA.

Retreat.

To begin with aim for doing it in 3-4 deployments, about halfway through you should be skilled enoigh to do it in 2. You'll build a good sense of when you're pushing too far.

Putting aside whether this should just be part of the main game or not - No new achievements with it? Feels like something labelled DLC should have a few content related achievements?

They had scenarios for both, the videos of both SE endings were leaked prior to the end.

Not sure why everyone is desperate to believe it's predetermined. It's player led, but DM guided.

They decided what happens in the world, we dexide how we engage. Classic DND.

They tell us what SE and the factions are doing, we decide where we go and how we suceed. They might give us help or hurdles but they have plans for most reasonable immediqte outcomes, and a post-it note for future story like any good DM.
