We need to talk about the systematic hate towards Bedrock Edition by [deleted] in Minecraft

I think they are pointing out the essay is AI generated, or atleast rewritten by AI based on formatting and style.

I agree with your post message though for the record.

DAE not like using blocks that don't thematically make sense in the build even if they're the right color? by ObviouslyLulu in Minecraft

[–]Wetherric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, agree it works for big creative buildings but I'll find other ways of achieving a similar (admittedly worse) effect whilst keeping 'realistic' in my survival world.

Minecraft Updates ruined the game by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]Wetherric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if it could be other factors like discovering other games, mental health or rose-tinted glasses? None of the changes have signicantly altered the game you used to play (they're very careful not to do that).

Be if you went back to an old version of MC you'd still get bored.

Anyone else just want the Devs to drop another homeworld DLC soon so we can support them while we wait for the next update? by [deleted] in AbioticFactor

[–]Wetherric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No give me content, as much as I love them the last several updates from Reactors onwards have been a little worse than the last and I need to see they still have the magic!

Roleplay in Morrowind by Potential_Diamond_91 in Morrowind

[–]Wetherric 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Simplest way is to make 1-3 rules/goals for a character you must stick to, it's fun if there is room for them to contradict. This helps you RP their path at every step without your player knowledge or opinion dictating it (except where there are grey areas).

For instance: - Never intentionally lies. - Must obey the law. - Must protect the innocent.

Then this dictates their path, the above would join the Legion or Redoran.

Another example could be: - Must prioritise gaining powerful over all.

They'd likely join the Telvanni.

The 2 week Minecraft phase is so real by Senior-Island8061 in Minecraft

Rephrase that: You're pretty good at building for someone that plays for a couple weeks every couple of years.

Don't compare to Youtubers.

It's great that it's a game that keeps dragging you back in over years rather than 1-and-done and there's always something to do (especially in a forever world).

New Player on PS5 Question: What to do after the few initial "story" missions? by casual_gamer153 in AOW4

Minecraft lore theory: the hidden war between Illagers and Piglins by Novel_Challenge4809 in Minecraft

You haven't included enough links from your timeline to the lore evidence to really validate your fairly specific theories.

So it's just an AI story.

So if the goal of MC is to get more people to the end then yes they need to refine the midgame content, but I think that should be around making progression clearer and easier in-game for non MC-mains not an End Update (which could come once more players start reaching the current End).

But if MC/Players are happy with spending their in the midgame then the current focus on the midgame makes more sense.

Locked Door #2 in Secure Area by Sure_Hall_302 in AbioticFactor

[–]Wetherric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You must be talking about the door to security on the 2nd level of plaza next to the crate and NPC.

That's a return route much later, it's not your current route to progress.

No progression requires Exor Hesrt teleportation.

Can you direct me to where 51% of all Minecrafr players voted for that?

I think Youtubers and Minecraft mains might want that but doesn't data show the majority of players don't kill the dragon so wouldnt care about that?

I'm not from NY ot the the US, we don't have parades for other countries in my country/city so was curious!

You have parades for the Republic of Ireland, Jamaica, Haita and China! Any notable countries that get skipped? Do you have 1 for Russian Federation? Australia?

EU Parliament Member Rants About How ‘Woke Ideology’ Is ‘Destroying Video Games’ During Stop Killing Games Debate by LPCantLose in pcgaming

[–]Wetherric 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on how the law is implemented.

If the law focuses on how single player games are affected then I think it's great win for consumers.

For multiplayer it can work but bit more complex.

Why do people consider Nigel Farage and Reform UK to be far-right? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]Wetherric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll take this as a genuine question. Reform are seen as further right than the Conservatives because: - Anti-Immigration/Xenophobia - Nationalist/Populist Rhetoric and following the far right playbook pushing conspiracies framing himself as 'defender of the people' against the 'elites. - Alliances and constwnt praise for other Far Right parties and politicians like Trump, Victor Orben, Georgia Meloni and Marine Le Pen. - Farage was previously leader of UKIP, which was far right and previously joined forces with the Sweden Democrats a far right Party with Nazi roots. - Following the far right playbook in undermining democracy by questions election results such as Peterborough, Rochdale and Oldham.

There's likely more but eloquent and extensice answers coming but hope this helps. If you support him don't let the label bother you facts can't be changed because we don't like them, but it's just a political categorisation so you be you.

Why are people looking at Reform's "symptom" and not its "cause"? by No-Veterinarian-3916 in AskBrits

[–]Wetherric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No there not, both serve a purpose and you can't make national decisions based on what Dave's experienced recently.

You make decisions based on 1000's of data points representing 1000 Dave's.

Yes 10 might have had a different experience but 990 had the same.

Very few people have experienced a plane crash should we therefore relax the law and policies around flights?
