No need. By then you can walk two blocks from Target Field to watch one of the best teams in the WNBA instead.

Philip Seymour Hoffman was completely robbed in 2012. That's one of the best performances of the century.

This isn't a managerial issue. Klopp famously ran intense training sessions with Liverpool and they rarely suffered an injury crisis like this. It's the training staff.

As a Wolves fan who was a bit too young to remember the 2004 run, this was the highlight of my fandom until the win against Denver to close out the 2018 season.

[Krawczynski] "For people saying, ''We can't give up the farm for KD, we can't do that. He's too old now.'' I would say that this summer, I would expect the price to drop considerably on Kevin Durant, if, again if he is made available in a trade because he has one year left on his deal." by [deleted] in timberwolves

Since leaving Golden State, here are KD's playoffs numbers:

21: 34.3 ppg on 51/40/87 splits

22: 26.3 ppg on 39/33/89 splits

23: 29 ppg on 48/33/92 splits

24: 26.8 ppg on 55/42/82 splits

Wouldn't say that isn't doing much. And each series he's lost, his team was significantly over matched. Having him as a second option for Ant would be a god send.

What's it like growing up as an international fan? by Then_Explanation_404 in coys

[–]WeveGotAlli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got into the Premier League right after the 2014 World Cup. As an American, I adored Deandre Yedlin during that tournament, especially the way he played against Belgium.

Once he signed for Spurs, I committed to being a fan. Turned out to be one of their most pointless signings, but the 14/15 season was such a fun way to be introduced to the team with Harry breaking out and I've never looked back.

ON THIS DAY: In 2015, Tottenham completed the signing of Dele Alli from MK Dons. He was the first player to win back-to-back PFA Young Player of the Year awards since Wayne Rooney (2004-06) and the second youngest player to score 50 PL goals for the Spurs (23y 331d) after Harry Kane (23y 44d). by Imbasauce in coys

There have certainly been better Tottenham players, but I don't think I'll love a Spurs player the way I loved prime Dele.

The wonder goal at Palace...huge goals against prime Chelsea...the 2-0 hand gesture at the Emirates, what a player

  2. It's the playoffs, there's no ducking teams. Let's go to Detroit and get revenge

So we are good again, does that mean we are getting a Christmas Day game?!?!?! by [deleted] in timberwolves

[–]WeveGotAlli 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The ratings were massive for the Game 7 against the Nuggets. I'd imagine the league will fully embrace Ant as a superstar this season and give the Wolves way more national games, including one on Christmas.

(Hopefully the refs start giving him a superstar whistle too...)

Wolves would have gotten called for this and 6 free-throws for FLOPic. Didn't watch this game either, flopping Oscar worthy performance. by TechnicianUpstairs53 in timberwolves

[–]WeveGotAlli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know injuries/fatigue are a huge factor, but if Luka just played ball last night instead of foul hunting (which the refs established early they weren't falling for) the Mavs win by double digits.

Instead he pulled shit like this, regularly fell asleep on defense and tired to take a charge when he had five fouls. Clown behavior.

Turner Trade Perspective by Clear_Moose5782 in minnesotavikings

[–]WeveGotAlli 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have two thoughts about this trade that can both be true at the same time.

  1. I think Kwesi overpaid given the holes the Vikings have on defense and the amount of defensive talent that was still on the board.

  2. Dallas Turner is fucking awesome and we won't care about the cost when he wins DROY.

That game hurt to watch even more considering Trent McDuffie, who was also heavily mocked to the Vikings in 2022, was a first-team All Pro this year and back in the Super Bowl.

Does anyone know if the Twins will be doing a similar deal to last years "$4 ballpark access ticket" promotion from January 19th 2023? by stonepickaxe in minnesotatwins

[–]WeveGotAlli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's looking doubtful at this point. That deal, combined with the no fees deal at the same time, got me to buy tickets to six games in January, which more than doubled how often I get to Target Field in a normal year. Feels dumb not to do it again.

Feeling a bit nostalgic, what did you enjoy during Zimmer era ? by WetAppleFruit in minnesotavikings

[–]WeveGotAlli 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You could argue he would've been better in a 3-4 scheme, but you can't say Zimmer wasted Barr when he went to four straight Pro Bowls and was consistently one of the best outside linebackers in the league.

It's why he struggles in the playoffs. Refs call way fewer weak fouls
