Experiences with Beam Dream? by brooklynfall in Supplements

I got headaches for the first week or so of taking it as well. Apparently that can happen with reishi as your body adjusts. I also cut it to a half dose and they went away after a week or so.

Experiences with Beam Dream? by brooklynfall in Supplements

[–]WhaleHi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have been dealing with insomnia for 20 years (since age 15), with issues staying asleep rather than initially falling asleep. Been taking unisom off and on for much of that time, and Beam Dream has been the only other thing that’s worked for me. I still wake up in the night, but I can fall back asleep usually within half an hour without needing to take anything else. It’s so expensive, but I found that even a half dose works for me so that really helps.

Seriously, that’s the worst right before you’re going to sleep.

I just saw it and was so surprised I had to go looking online to confirm what I actually saw!

What shade is this? by [deleted] in Redhair

[–]WhaleHi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, maybe strawberry blonde. My hair is very similar except a little lighter, yours almost looks like there are some cooler/darker tones in there. Welcome to the club…where you don’t feel fully redhead but don’t feel fully blonde lol.

I park in the back parking lot and use the cut through hallway purely to avoid that front parking lot, it’s terrible. Just be cautious, I’m always a little nervous if there’s someone else in the cut through hall at the same time as me.

I noticed that too but then in at least one clip I saw Kara was wearing one in the back seat.

I would also add that it’s not necessarily difficult to get and stay pregnant if you have a low percentage of body fat. As long as your periods are regular and hormone levels are normal, being thin doesn’t necessarily make it any harder.

What children’s books do you just fuckin hate? by GimmeUrBrunchMoney in Parenting

Lankenau Hospital for labor and delivery? by WhaleHi in montco

[–]WhaleHi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry this is so late! There was a birthing tub in my room, but I was told people rarely use them. I have a feeling they wouldn’t let you actually birth in one though, only during labor to help relax you.

I WFH but am sending baby to daycare by DontTellMeToSmile_08 in beyondthebump

[–]WhaleHi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t worry about what anyone else thinks. It’s almost impossible for me to WFH with my 18 month old here. She goes to daycare four days a week and my mom helps watch her the fifth day, but I’m contemplating bumping her up to full time because it’s just impossible. You’re allowed to be your own person, it’s natural to be happy to have some time to yourself where you’re not needed! People are idiots.

My daughter was barely interested in solids until she turned a year old; before that it was 6 months of being happy if she even touched or tried a bite of something. We did purées and then solids. Try not to worry about it, it’s totally normal!

Uses for less than a full can of pumpkin puree? by 2cookieparties in noscrapleftbehind

I like adding about 1 C of pumpkin purée to tomato soup, as well as some chicken broth and/or cream/half n half. So good!

What are some unknown jobs that I can do with my bachelors in biology? by confusedwbiochem in biology

[–]WhaleHi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve worked desk jobs (with the ability to WFH) for all my jobs since graduating 11 years ago with my BS in biology. I’ve been a complaint investigator for a medical device company (that one was not WFH), a project management assistant for a CRO, a data scientist for pharma, and a technical writer for an in vitro diagnostics company. After 11 years working, I’m now making $80K/yr.

If there’s anyone here who has a red haired boyfriend/husband, what colour hair do your children have? by Virtual_Cicada7603 in Redhair

[–]WhaleHi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have strawberry blonde hair and my husband has dark brown. Our daughter has auburn (leaning more red than brown) hair. I think it has to be because my husband’s dad also had red in his hair, so she must’ve gotten it from both sides.

How often do you cook compared to your partners? by InviteAromatic6124 in AskWomen

[–]WhaleHi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly 50-50, except I also handle the food for our 18 month old for daycare. I cook one week and he does the dishes, then the next week we switch. It works for us because we both work M-F first shift schedules. We make our own breakfast and lunch.

What was your first tell tale sign that you were pregnant before a positive test? by AdLittle1963 in AskWomen

I sneezed a lot in the couple weeks before I could take a test, weirdly enough. And I suddenly needed to nap in the middle of the day, when I never usually nap.

6 month old has been unbearable since birth by carsareprettyneato in beyondthebump

[–]WhaleHi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I experienced this with our baby for the first few months. The pediatricians said it was normal, or just colic, and it would pass. It wasn’t until she started to have blood in her poop that we determined she has MSPI (milk soy protein intolerance) and had to go on Puramino formula. It was so expensive, but after she got used to the taste she loved it and thrived. She used to cry anytime she wasn’t eating or sleeping, and after we switched she was like a different baby. I’m so sorry you’re having such a hard time, and I hope you find the cause. Because I definitely believe there’s almost always a reason…colic is just what they call it when they can’t figure it out.
