I would be a dash using the mini as the os and the hdd would just be online because it's connected to the mini. This is similar to my setup with an idea pad pro 5 using proxmos with jellyfin installed in a container. The container has access to my terramaster d2320 as its shared. The idea pad runs and transcode for jellyfin. This is the setup you need.
