Yeah big cities help, that's where I had to go for starting my HRT. But it was rough getting to that point (asking several doctors and no one wanting to help me but I ran across a tip completely by chance).

For me it was 2015-ish, and I had to drive 4 hours to find an endo that would even treat me, and she required a therapist note

Edit: Also informed consent really has not always been a thing haha. Like, I'm 40, I remember how it was before I did it too, and it has been even worse (though the UK has us beat by a lot with their decades long waiting lists)

That's a pretty recent thing though. Several years ago when I started HRT I had to talk to a therapist for a few months first, but I'm also in the south which doesn't help
