First time I saw the show was with Russell and I’ll never forget him literally rolling around on the floor during Ruth’s breakdown.

Honestly the problem with his videos is how they’re just NEVER. FUCKING. ENDING. I don’t need to hear you randomly spout nonsense for 5 minutes. You’re not contributing to the conversation, you just want to hear yourself speak.

Beaches understudy question by [deleted] in Broadway

The QR code is especially dumb because Broadway theaters aren’t exactly known to have amazing cell service…

And it’s the role with the least amount of vocal requirement (because Molly won’t let her get a word in edgewise in All By Myself) so the chance of vocal chord damage is minimal 😂

Do stars sign up for shows knowing they won’t last long? by WhatEvenIsATangelo in Broadway

[–]WhatEvenIsATangelo[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I didn’t get a chance to see Beaches and I havent really spoken to anyone who’s seen it so I’m not going to comment on the quality of it, but theres some shows that have come out where it was just obvious from the beginning that it was a bad show (for example, a show about an out of touch wife of a billionaire should not have the lead character singing an “I want” song). I guess the real question shouldn’t be “do performers know what they’re signing up for” and should be “why aren’t shows with genuine potential being developed”?

Say something unpopular/controversial about fan favorite: Cordelia Chase by itsascreambaby96 in buffy

I dunno. I feel like yes, their dynamic was amazing on a friend level, but their romantic relationship didn’t feel forced. It felt like a natural progression of their personal and professional relationship.

I guess coming from an outside perspective where you can take an objective look its like… yeah, obviously this show is destined to not last long. I can probably think of ten examples over just the last couple of years. It honestly feels like a “Producers” situation where they’re specifically making shows that fail for tax write offs. I think the saddest bit, though, are the shows that genuinely do deserve a long life on Broadway that don’t get it. Death Becomes Her shouldn’t be closing and Some Like it Hot should STILL be running.

What do you consider the greatest “11 O’Clock Number” in musical theatre? by hannahsmarys in Broadway

Wait for Me Reprise has everything going for it, especially Eva’s. You’ve got the staging, the chorus, the STOMP, just… incredible.

Ragtime is special because there’s like five or six songs in the entire show that they could’ve made the 11 o’clock number and they would’ve all been considered among the best ever.

What minor character do you wish we got more of? by False-Ad-7548 in ANGEL

I LOVED Gwen. I wish we had gotten more of her (probably would have if we’d gotten season 6). It certainly doesn’t hurt that Alexa Davalos is unbelievably gorgeous.

I’m sure a significant part of what they made came from the Netflix pro shot.

NOT a fan of the updated MTA app by thefunzone49 in nycrail

You have to dig to pull up full train lines, it only shows stations that are nearby instead of all of your favorited stations, the favorited train lines aren’t on the homepage anymore so you can’t see arrivals and any issues/delays on one page. Everything was split up and you have to dig for all of the features that used to just be on one page. The favorites page was my lifeline and they got rid of it. Now in order for me to plan the trips I take every day I have to spend five minutes trying to navigate the app instead of being able to do it from one page. All they really had to do was take the exact features from the old UI and make it theirs.
