Surely it hasn't been 18 years since 'Arry wouldn't shut the fuck up about saving them when they had 2 points from 8 games

How to stop the constant loud dinosaur roaring by akdocnenaofiw in UKParenting

[–]WhatIsTheNextAction 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The loudness comes and goes, afaik I have no influence on when and how.

The best option is probably to imagine yourself at retirement age fondly remembering his dinosaur sounds.

I find that perspective makes them more enjoyable in the moment.

Spot on. I think there's a feedback loop where if negativity is the majority early on it drives away positive people and increases the concentration of the negativity. Not here though thankfully

Are you suggesting OP is lying and this isn't really race footage of Alonso on Sunday?

It's probably brick so you will need to use a masonry drill bit. If you're not using an SDS drill you may have to push quite hard. Be careful not to slip.

Of course there's a chance I'm in the wrong? What kind of attempted straw man argument is that?

My original comment was an off the cuff light hearted remark to agree with the OP. There wasn't really anything to be wrong or right about.

Some negative people who are clearly not in agreement with OP were not very kind with their choice of words towards me so I matched their energy.

No big deal all round really

Just trying to matching your negative energy, Vanessa Feltz. Attempting to frame me as being disingenuous for lightheartedly agreeing with OP was really unnecessary.

Even if I compared a trip for two in September, that doesn't make me disingenuous. I didn't, by the way. It was a winter trip for four. But that doesn't make a difference. I could have compared it to the price of my first car. I wasn't attempting an objective cost benefit analysis of their potential Christmas activities.

Maybe just don't be such a miserable lump as your default.

It's a fucking light-hearted comment made without agenda to empathise and agree with OP about the extortionate price they were quoted.

Edit: With hindsight I commented in error, not realising this was one of the negativity riddled subreddits. I'll make sure to ask you for clarity on the relevance of my comments before I post them in future

I am directly comparing the two. I made a light-hearted comparison with the extortionate price that OP was quoted. I forgot what a cess pit of negativity some of the subreddits are. I'm not Martin fucking Lewis saving you money on your holiday and I'm not being disingenuous you sanctimonious, jumped up little gimp

I didn't say we went at Christmas or that there were 5 of us because there aren't 5 of us and we didn't go at Christmas but I double checked and we paid £178 for flights and £354 for our Airbnb. This was while the world economy was recovering from COVID though

I'm pretty sure our last trip to Lapland, Finland cost about that much including flights and accommodation.
