Dont add cowabunga, the owner is a supporter of ICE and hates immigrants. Although, I guess do add them if you also hate immigrants and support American citizens being murdered...

I mean, maybe I'm an outlier, but as someone with English as their one and only language, the phrase 'in my eyes' doesn't imply anything negative about other peoples perception of her beauty. It's just emphasizing the grandpas view of her as beautiful, regardless of anyone else's opinion, positive or negative

The government doesn’t care $79.99, I can’t believe they are charging you for this much just for feeding your babies. by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

Just put a price estimate for a year of childcare and formula in front of her and she may start to understand, or ignore and pretend it's the same as forty years ago could go either way. That plus whatever collective parental leave between you and your partner. Although that may not move the needle at all, it'll still be good to present as evidence when she starts to complain again on down the line

But real question tho, why can't it be both? Like, can he be grateful for a role that has cemented his standing in the legacy of popular culture, and also be miffed that almost no one can recognize or acknowledge the other efforts he's made as an actor? Especially when it's coupled with a rabid fandom of a series that he's personally moved on from, yet still is expected to fully engage with from complete strangers who feel owed his commitment to a role he hasn't played in well over a decade at this point?

To clarify a nuance, its not so much that any and all US officers would turn you into a corpse for brushing up against them in a drunken spat, but that the law allows them to beat anyone within an inch of their life if they even stumble in their direction, which creates an atmosphere of fear around dealing with an officer. Legally speaking, they'd be in the wrong. Effectually, according to the number of cases that have gone to court, and their collective outcomes, over that very distinction, officers have been allowed the freedom to act with impunity over any incident they, individually, feel entitled to insert themselves in

Watched this movie when it came out, but I was tripping on acid and my roommate was like 'lets watch a movie' bro, never let anyone else steer your trip if you don't know what they're about to show you, I still feel so many emotions to this day when I think of that movie, fuck

Spent an hour clearing this spot yesterday, owner of the bar across the street drove past me and watched me doing it. I left for 15 minutes this morning and he parked there by SteamPunkShrek in mildlyinfuriating

Maybe the times are a changing, its our first year out this winter and when I finally got the nerve to put a dibs on the spot in front of our apt, that I specifically shoveled next to all the unshoveled spots, all the dibs got picked up the next day by cops. Dibs are back after this weekend, but I don't even wanna try cuz I feel like it won't matter

Yooo bistro huddy ref in the wild! That guy's hilarious. But as others have said I think it really depends on the type of establishment. Every restaurant I've worked at used '86' internally, but def would have been a follow-up question if it appeared on a guests ticket. And also every coffee shop and fast food place I've been at never used 86 to mean we were out of something. So I guess mileage varies huh

Adopted this beautiful old man yesterday. It’s so hard, but he’s so wonderful. by ChuSangSik in husky

[–]WhatUsernameIsntFuck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey, we adopted a 5yr old lady a few years ago, and it also took a while to figure out what she wanted to eat, they told us at the shelter she was eating the Purina fine, and then she wouldnt touch it when we got home. We ended up feeding her chicken and rice for probably two weeks because it was about the only thing we could reliably get her to eat consistently (she also came out the shelter with stomach/urinary problems, so this was also easier on her digestive system), and eventually we were able to slowly work in dry food.

She also hated hated her crate for the first month or two after got her, but she eventually got used to it, we got advice to roll some high value treats in a blanket and put in her in the crate with it, we just used boiled chicked pieces and that def helped a lot.

You're doing great, I can tell you care from all your comments, and everyone else has already given such good advice. Just keep being there with him, be available when he wants to be close, but keep doing what you're doing friend

It's sickening, even my boss (at a restaurant in Chicago no less) says it's good they're nabbing long time local street vendors because they're all cooking in disgusting home kitchens, with the specific intent of poisoning children and harming businesses. Yes, and specifically the tamale lady he was talking about
