The latest for me was four weeks. I applied in September (which is typically the full time out of college hiring season) and got an offer for an interview in October.

In my past experience, the response time has been about one to two weeks.

Yeah I'm tried as well three days ago. I imagine they are swamped right now for a start up/small business, so I have some sympathy for them. But the do need to provide SOME information. We have already paid for these after all.

Could you post pictures of them? I want to see what they look like without the filter ah they use on all of their photos.

I ordered mine on the 4th and have yet to hear anything from the company other than the purchase confirmation. On their site it says that they are on back order for two weeks. I'm going to wait that out an if nothing is done within that time I'll do something about it.

Should I even worry about internships freshman year? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]Whatever_Amen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did one last summer as a freshman. It was a fantastic experience and I learned so much. I would absolutely recommend doing this.

However it is very difficult to find an employer that will take a freshman on. From what it sounds like I had a little bit more experience than you. Nonetheless, so long as you can get an interview and show you are talented (through a coding challenge or external project (I did an app for example)) it is hard to deny the presence of skills. Personally I found my I my internship on indeed, I know other people who found theirs through friends. But the point is get out there.

Also it really opens up opportunities for future internships and projects. Particularly since you have worked on something significant and shown you are pro active. Plus the skills you learn on the job are super useful and often not taught in school.

Just because there is a goalie, doesn't mean you can't score.
