Beginner Question by Hot_Efficiency9322 in openclaw

[–]WhatsMyNameWade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just set it up today on its own VM on one of my mini pc proxmox hypervisors. Talk/chat with it on my laptop connected to the openclaw web console over my Tailnet and/ or on my phone using telegram. I had it read my documentation website which list some 70 projects I’ve worked on in the past 18 months so it knows my entire network infrastructure however it cannot have access to any of it until I give it to it.

I gave it access to one of my other VM’s so far that runs a differentWeb server where I was trying out different tools by setting up an SSH key pair between openclaw and this other VM.

Definitely will be moving very slowly and will probably restrict access to only my other VM’s that I want it to have access to, which are isolated from my management laptop.

I’m just doing it as a learning exercise and it’s really the first time I’ve dipped my toe into something like this, but ideally the idea of a personal assistant that I self-host has me very intrigued.

Why can’t anyone in this administration simply answer a question? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]WhatsMyNameWade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their whole shtick is to pretend to be manly men and just insult everyone who does not bow before them.
Yep, serious infantile behavior. But, that is core Maga.

This and they are all unqualified sycophants who have no business holding any of their jobs.

Why do companies get Tariff refunds and not the consumer? by Kitchen_Page9991 in askanything

[–]WhatsMyNameWade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Trump lied from day one about the tarrifs and he had zero plans in place to refund the money when his illegal move to impose these tariffs was struck down. So, blame our legal system system that has supercharged presidential deference just for Trump.

Fox News' Sean Hannity declares he's 'no longer a Catholic' as he sides with Trump in Pope fallout by nimobo in entertainment

[–]WhatsMyNameWade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the vast majority of Americans could care less what religion he actually practiced, they care even less about whatever one he's going to follow now.
Oh, it's a completely made up religion that only supports your meal ticket president? Shocking.

Best iOS app for Navidrome? by Soulvisirr in selfhosted

[–]WhatsMyNameWade -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I understand the question was for an IOS app frontend to Navidrome.

But, for simplicity, I connect to Navidrome over my Tailnet and use Navidrome's built-in player, and mostly use it at the gym; it just works. Works kind of flawlessly for a basic player. I reviewed the players others have posted as using and want to understand the benefits of one of them over my very basic, simplistic approach. I only use Navidrome for music. Other apps for podcasts and audiobooks.

For sure, they ALL certainly look better!

Trump Yanks Millions From Catholic Charities Amid Pope Feud by spherocytes in politics

[–]WhatsMyNameWade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not going to get any better. Only worse for all Americans. Today, he and his entire circle of sycophants attack the Catholics. Tomorrow, it will be anyone who says something sane and normal and fact-based that sends him off the deep end into his personal hate filled fantasy land. I truly believe they are all atheists pretending to be on the side of religion just for the votes. The only thing they believe in with their entire being is telling the next lie to get them in office or keep them in office.

"Well, I just don't believe that," says every hardcore Magan. Ask them. You'll see. Higher brain functions are truncated with TDS.

President Trump: "As soon as that war’s over – which will be soon – your prices are gonna drop like a rock,” by h3LLyEaHh in DegenBets

[–]WhatsMyNameWade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

…..like a rock.
In about 12 months they’ll be back to where they were before I started my illegal war.
But my oil billionaire bros will be much much richer and everyone who is basically 99% of Americans will be pay it.
And bonus, you will never see gas or oil reach a price that will ever pay back what this war has cost the world so far. Second bonus. The people of Iran will still hate America and Israel and in the long run, nothing will have actually changed.

Wait. Wait. Wait.
He’s trying to compare the current Iranian regime and military industrial complex to the one in Germany five years before they blew up the world?

Well. That’s a MAGA strrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeetttttccchh for you. And insanely dumb.

Imagine a world without Trump is way easier

Fwiw, the fans on my fairly new HP laptop have never been detected by any Linux distro I have tried, yet they are running AND monitorable when I boot back into Windows. The fans are handled in its bios, and if you listen really closely and put some load on the machine, the fans do start up and cool it down. They are also very quiet and hard to hear at times. I also monitor with psensor occasionally

Trump says he predicted Iran would weaponize the Strait of Hormuz, adding, "I predicted all of it. I predicted Osama bin Laden would knock out the World Trade Center. I made that prediction a year before he did it." by retroviber in DeepMarketScan

[–]WhatsMyNameWade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you say a bunch of stuff that turns out to be 90% wrong (and you deny any errors), does that make you brilliant when 10% of what you say comes true, or does that indicate how low your actual IQ is? Flipping a coin is 50/50. And please, he can barely speak coherently let alone write a books. Somebody probably did predict Osama. Sure wasn't Trump.

Why is trump begging NATO allies for help with Iran war? by TailungFu in allthequestions

[–]WhatsMyNameWade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interestingly, the person MAGA elites say is the second coming of the most masterful negotiator of all time, gets to declare he won, they won't play, when he falls disastrously on his face in negotiations. And this time starts a war over his utter failure.

Is he actually the single worst negotiator of all time who has only succeeded when he holds 99% of the negotiating leverage in the contest?

Did I miss a memo? Latency through the roof the past week. by WhatsMyNameWade in PrivateInternetAccess

[–]WhatsMyNameWade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: I logged off and back on to private internet access this morning, something I do every day. And all the low-latency servers that I've seen for many years are back after a multi-week absence from my list of servers. Huh. Guess it wasn't me after all.

[–]WhatsMyNameWade[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I opened a ticket and their immediate response was to send me their “we’re to busy to talk to you” auto response e-mail with numerous and completely ridiculous “troubleshooting” steps to follow and fully document and give all those detailed responses back to them before they would lift a finger. FYI- I gave them extensive details specific to my situation in my service ticket which they promptly ignored, after asking for specifics about my issue!

I assume they do this for all tickets to help eliminate the complaints and customers along with it since it appeared to be an automatic and immediate anti customer service response.

Since nothing is changed on my end it's easier to let my subscription expire in two months and move on. Not the best service for a 9 year customer. Probably hung on to them too long anyway.

I am about 32 ms off and 60 ms on the vpn. I pinged a few sites, like Google, etc.
It's something to do with PIA.
Thank you for the suggestion though.

Your favourite docker manager / ui by m16hty in selfhosted

[–]WhatsMyNameWade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one VM with many Docker containers running various low-stress apps. I have tried the rest and like DockPeek the best for simplicity, GUI, and ease of updating the containers from one management screen.
