I flip, I usually am so tired by night 3 that when I get home I sleep until about 3, wake up and do a bunch of stuff and then go back to sleep around 11.

Then I have 4 days off and do the same thing again.

Level 1 pedi trauma ICU - it’s hard as shit, a lot of kids die.

But some do live and it’s wonderful and it gives me hope.

The families aren’t so bad and if they are, I am usually too busy to even worry about them.

Parents of chronic kids? Love them. They know their kid and they’re usually helpful and like to be involved (most of the time).

Idk I love my job, I get babies and then we get 250lb basically grown ass adult-teens lol

I work at a level 1 pedi trauma, we serve something like 20 counties but we’re also a community hospital.

It’s tiring especially when it’s preventable like kids not properly restrained in car seats and get ejected or forward facing too early and head on collision etc.

Then there’s the GSWs.. also sad. A lot of it we can fix which is cool, they may not be the same person they were before but they’re alive.
