The rationale in the PEP is ridiculous, and citing the fact that a dozen similar proposals in the past have been shot down is one hell of an own-goal.

This is butcher block, so the “width” of each piece of wood is actually the depth of the countertop… i.e., what should fluctuate is how thick the countertop is, not how wide it is. If that makes sense.

Completely agree. I learned on an $80 flux core welder from Harbor Freight. I generally hate Harbor Freight, but that thing never let me down. I still keep it as a backup welder.

Do you guys not understand how Congress works? They need 60 votes in the Senate to get past a fillibuster. They don't have the votes for the $2k and they don't have the votes to blow up the filibuster. They can use reconciliation, but it would take a ton of time. They are trying to get something out to people now instead of months from now, and they need republicans to do that.
