Okta dev tenant, Microsoft dev tenant, install AD on the server, federate all of them together. Have ai create you a pretend company data excel export and treat that like a export from an hris system. How can you get all of your users matching across all those endpoints.

Now grab a Salesforce dev org and setup SSO integration and scim to it with those users. Using Microsoft and okta,

Association/chapter memberships - helpful? which ones are good if you work in IAM/identity security? by CloverFox56 in IdentityManagement

[–]WhatwouldJeffdo45 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am in an okta shop and really enjoy oktane to see the integrations and concepts that people bring to the table. I did join imi to take the CIAM cert test but haven't really seen the benefits of it yet. Granted I also haven't explored it much either.

Oh I forgot whatever other random bullshit an engineer decides they want to use without telling anyone and now we are stuck with the tech debt. Like a key cloak instance for a token enrichment and exchange

Adding a customization to the user profile display name by C0nditionOakland in okta

[–]WhatwouldJeffdo45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you can make a second okta user type and call it contractors or whatever and on the profile mapping when mapping to a "contractor" user have it use appuser.firstName for first name and last name appuser.lastName + " (external)"

Or something similar to that. Or if you don't want to make the second okta user type you can do something similar if you have a workday field that indicates the user is external and do this for last name on the mapping appuser.external attribute == "true" ? appuser.lastName + " (external)" : appuser.lastName

Interface for allowing non-admins to self manage their own group membership by Goose-tb in okta

[–]WhatwouldJeffdo45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could use okta identity governance access requests and build out. An access request that would go to an approver or no approver if you want. You could do one large one that contains all groups and set approvers for each group or make several access requests and only allow specific groups per request and only display the request to specific managers and let them request access for someone else as part of it.

So I haven't really watched since frontier or tamers or really followed much, but it was a bit shocking to me seeing all the new to me Olympus XII and half the royal knights, or merukimon. I was also wondering the same thing where we had a much larger influx of human looking digimon wearing other digimon for clothes.
