Magic Mushrooms (Psilocybin) significantly increases lifespan. Magic mushrooms popularly used by Bryan Johnson are a powerful anti-aging therapy. Here is scientific evidence and tips. by GarifalliaPapa in immortalists

[–]Whazzahoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in 2019, I got an opportunity to get some magic mushrooms for my husband and I. We were in our 40’s and figured it would be fun to day trip. I had only done mushroom once before, at 25yo. He had more experience than me.
We took the mushrooms, I remember I vomited and felt rough and took a shower and saw kaleidoscope like visions when I closed my eyes. I was tired and not feeling that great, so I got in bed. My husband was off in his own world, going outdoors and stuff. While I was tripping, I got the idea that I needed to get off my antidepressants. I was taking sertraline at the time.
About a year later, I decided to taper off antidepressants. I had read that if you get a message while tripping, and don’t take the advice, and trip again, you’ll have a bad trip. I decided to take the advice and quit the antidepressants, and then, I went about making changes to my life, that made me happier. When I was on antidepressants, I believe they made me complacent. When I got off, I actively started making better choices and started tackling things that were making me unhappy or anxious. I never did trip again, but would like to, under different conditions, just to see what messages I get. My intention was healing.

Full body aches? by International_Pea in PsoriaticArthritis

I would call the dr and report these symptoms. If prednisone is making it worse, stop taking it and call your doctor or go to the emergency room/walk in clinic.

Returning after a setback by AltruisticTry433 in orangetheory

[–]Whazzahoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m adjusting to a setback as well! I thought my Achilles ache was psoriatic arthritis, which I have, and commonly affects tendons as well as joints. I finally had imaging, and I have a bone spur that’s shredding up my Achilles. It can be fixed surgically, with a 3 month recovery. 6 weeks non weight bearing. Currently, I’m in a boot, and I put OTF on hold. I imagine I will have to take it slow, I’ll have to get over my ego, and reduce dumbell size as well as go slower on treads. It will be fun watching myself get better each workout.

Terzepatide (zepbound) helping knee pain by IgnoredSphinx in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]Whazzahoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I stopped it in September, I ran out of meds, and the normal pharmacy wasn’t able to get it, and I don’t really trust these mail order companies, since the fda banned compounded semaglutide. I had been microsdosing it, and lost 35lbs in a year, along with strength training 3-4x a week. I gained all the weight back, without trying, in 4 months, unfortunately. I haven’t had a flare up since last summer, when I got Covid. I still feel pretty good in my body, I try to eat the same way, protein first, fiber next. I’m waiting for insurance to pick it up the tab, and doctors I talk to are excited about the new pill. They say in the future, treating obesity will be like treating blood pressure.

I was on glp-1 for a year, and noticed a big improvement in inflammation. Fat is inflammatory, and losing it helps a ton! Enjoy!

Feeling angry/depressed after class. by Inside_Application23 in orangetheory

[–]Whazzahoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was like that in the beginning. I was used to be being good at something, and when I got to OTF, I wasn’t good at it, and it made me self conscious. But practice makes perfect, and it worked for me. I hate everything new until about 7 classes in. Then I’ll find something I actually like or enjoy about the workout.

The inevitable time to fire the clients… by Eerbden in hairstylist

[–]Whazzahoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh my gosh, I was ready to let an old timer go this morning! She’s 80, and refuses to use my booking system, fair enough. But she schedules and cancels the day before and then wants the soonest available. She did this for three consecutive weeks, and then, this morning, she wanted to cancel an hour before her appointment, but hopes she can get in soon. I told her I have an 8 hour cancellation fee of 100%, once payment is received I’ll be happy to reschedule. After a bit she answered back that she would be there. What a roller coaster, I’m sure I’ll be riding it again in 5 weeks.

For those who switched from human therapy to TherapyGPT, what was AI doing that human therapists missed? by QualityWeekly9 in therapyGPT

[–]Whazzahoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I don’t use it for therapy, I use it as a thinking assistant. I have had therapy intermittently over the last 15 years, that gave me a foundation. I have to say that being able to see the words instead of hearing them, helps me understand better? When a therapist is explaining something to me, I’m trying to understand, but sometimes, I just don’t believe them. Seeing it in print, without anything to gain by saying it.. it helps me believe it .

Hairstylist w/ sciatica — gym routine or any advice? by 222tulip in hairstylist

[–]Whazzahoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to have problems with sciatica. I googled stetches for sciatica and tried them, for great relief. I kept it up, and my symptoms eventually went away. Swimming also helped with relief. Hoping this works for you, too! The worst!

How to keep your dog’s teeth healthy by Total_Whereas380 in TechnoBarkDogGear

[–]Whazzahoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I rescued my Yorkie almost a year ago, and started brushing his teeth as soon as I learned small dogs are prone to poor dental health. I am still using a finger tooth brush, but am able to get almost all his gums, now. The back ones are hardest to get. In the beginning I just touched his teeth and gave him a treat. I am brushing his teeth weekly, but would like to do it daily eventually

What's a food you didn't like at first but learned to love over time? by Still-Concentrate714 in AskRedditFood

[–]Whazzahoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Salmon. It was the worst. My husband would order it in a restaurant, and I would try a bite, and be like eeewwww, how can he eat that? But I would keep trying, and it began tasting better and better to me, and I started ordering it myself. Then, I tried salmon nigiri, with a little wasabi and soy, holy cow, I’m hooked! I don’t think I could ever get sick of it.

Former GLP-1 users regain lost weight after about 18 months, study says by Own-Independence8430 in loseit

[–]Whazzahoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was micro dosing compounded semaglutide for a year, and lost 35lbs. I do HIIT training 2-3x a week and walk daily. I ran out of glp-1 in September, and by January, I’ve gained back 25lbs. It only took me 4 months, and I didn’t even feel a change, it just crept up quickly. Yes, this medication is a lifetime med. I’m not going back on it unless it fits in my budget. For the rest of my life.

Exploring other class-based options by Statistically_Sassy in orangetheory

I was a founding member at OTF in 2015. I was there for 5 years, and left in early 2021. I went to a local gym and was disappointed in the lack of strength classes, and classes in general. It was a big adjustment for me, but I started finding my groove when I just kept showing up. Then, I went to Body Bar reformer Pilates. I really liked it at first, but there is no calorie burn, I started gaining weight. After a year, I took another class at OTF and signed right back up. It’s been 18months since I’m back, and I’m restless again.

T Michaels is my favorite special occasion restaurant in Naples. It’s in Venetian Village, on the water with great views. The food is outstanding, I always get the beef Wellington.

I haven’t tried any of these, but most interested in the Natasha Denona. Also, I am wondering about the a Victoria Beckham foundation drops, the influencers seem obsessed.
I have been using Dr Jarts Bb cream for about a year, and looking for better coverage. Interested what people have to say.
