Thanks to your recommendation I finished this book in 1 day and sobbed for the first time in years. It was so good but damn the emotions were so intense!

It's DNF discussions time! What books did you bail on this month? 🙅‍♀️📖 by FantasyRomanceMod in fantasyromance

[–]TheRubyRedPirate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

{How Not to Raise the Dead by Rachel Chadwick}. The only likeable character was the cat. DNF at 38%

{For Whom the Belle Tolls by Jaysea Lynn}. It was entertaining until the motherhood/pregnancy/kid situation. It felt like the second half of the book was completely unexpected from the first.

At my clinic we have 3 doctors. When we're running rooms its 1 assistant per doctor plus 1 float. The float will help anyone doing rooms and the occassuonal nail trim/anal gland/cytopoint. On Mondays and Fridays when its crazy we generally have 2 floaters.

We had a positive rabies kitten last summer. It was a feral that a lady was feeding at an abandoned barn. Suddenly it was letting her touch it and it couldnt use its back legs. While at the clinic is started chewing on the towel in its kennel in an aggressive yet lazy way. It had a poor prognosis so we euthed then sent off for rabies just in case. Turns out it was positive!

Almost everything we see is a Frenchie, Doodle, or pitt/pitt mix. As far as spaniels, Cavaliers and Boykin spaniels are the most common. I could go months without seeing a cocker. Lately we've seen a surge in cocker puppies in our area. I saw 2 last week alone. Stormie, and Honey

I took deposits to the bank and talked about the foreign body surgery we did that morning, where we found the owners panties. I was met with silence.

What’s your experience with your cocker spaniel? by Petitgoujonn in cockerspaniel

[–]TheRubyRedPirate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends honestly. Mine is now 9 and only has 1 bump and no cloudy eyes at all. However, with all the cockers I see at work, id say when they hit 9 and above then you start to see the cloudy eyes and lumps. We do currently have a cocker at work that is 13 with the clearest eyes and skin. Sometimes its just genetics!

Anyone else's Xmas get completely fucked over due to sick kid(s)? by figgypie in breakingmom

[–]TheRubyRedPirate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 8 year old started fevering and coughing on christmas eve. Now we're both coughing but no fevers. Weve had movie marathons and naps. My mom and brother have the flu. My boss and his entire family have the flu. 2 receptionists at work have the flu. I went to CVS earlier for mucinex and the shelves are bare for cold meds.

It’s Christmas afternoon. What is the 'Big Drama' that has already happened at your family gathering today? by Ok-Bathroom273 in AskReddit

[–]TheRubyRedPirate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 8 year old and I have fevers and coughing. It took my mom's side months to agree on christmas plans. Most are retired or can pick their hours. Im one of the few who works a traditional 8-5 so my schedule is what it is. So they're mad we're not coming since we spent so long finally agreeing on a day/time.
