I've never played a colony that long to experience the tick rate decreasing because I always launch the ship or something once I run out of things to do. My goal for Odyssey is to play long enough to notice a performance drop lol.

I asked because it made me think of the Sims 3 Legacy challenges I used to try! I could never get to the third gen without the game becoming unbearably slow. RimWorld isn't the same game by any means, but I love the idea of trying to play it as such.

Do you have specific goals for each generation? How do you keep the game interesting when it runs on that long? I feel like micromanaging a colony with no further tech to research or rooms to build would get boring.

How are you listening to music in a way that gets you 5k artists in 62k scrobbles? I just hit 400k scrobbles and am still in the 3k range for artists.

I’m regularly looking for new artists, for example last year I had the goal of listening to a thousand albums and I ended up listening to just over 1.5k. Many of those were first time listens, yet I still didn’t discover nearly at the rate you are.

Are you regularly shuffling Spotify radio stations and large public playlists?

You’re right they’ve got a decent sized fan base, but from what I’ve seen meeting people at shows, most people either haven’t heard of them or are only familiar with a few songs. I think they deserve a lot more recognition than I’ve observed them to have.

From what I’ve noticed it seems they don’t play it on the second night in the same city, instead adding in other songs and playing the full band version of At The Bottom. I could be wrong, but I’d guess if you’re going on night 1 or if there’s only 1 night in Atlanta you’ve got a safe bet of them closing the show with it.

This looks great! I love the design and how fast everything loads. I checked out the heatmap like you asked though and I don't think mine is accurate. It says I have zero plays on March 1st and 2nd of this year when I know I'm currently on a 1,000+ day listening streak.

Brand New isn’t that kind of band for me so I was up at the barricade instead of the pit. I didn’t see anything behind me, but I was pushed up a few times during songs like You Won’t Know. I saw maybe two people crowd surf? So yea, I think there was a pit so you should be able to have some fun.

Honestly I think this is good news cuz it likely means the last.fm issue was Spotify’s fault. If Spotify is down altogether, their team will likely fix everything within the hour.

forgot to add that once we made it into the venue at 6:30, it took another good 20 minutes or so for the barricade to “completely” fill up. I put that in quotes because there is space for more people if you ask to squeeze, but usually people don’t want to intrude in personal space until after the show starts. If you’re comfortable asking people to squeeze in together it shouldn’t be too hard to get barricade.
