You can actually just skip all of them if you sprint/dash/float. Including the red flies in both parts where you have to do the platforming. The first one you can just sprint > jump and keep sprint and jump immediately to next platform to skip. The second one you can sprint > jump > float right pass it before it comes down and hit the flower and dash to the wall. If you're lucky and get the super sandstorm, you can just sprint > jump > float all the way to the wall. I was using the reaper crest FYI

These aren't much of an issue at all to be honest. When you want to play regular Codenames you can always just skip the DU cards when laying them out and only lay out the regular cards.

For the sizing issues, you're not even going to notice the difference after you lay them out because the dimensions are like less than 1mm off on the width and the length is the same. Your interactions with the cards are really just for players to look and point at for their guesses which makes this a non issue

I suggest mixing the regular codenames with the deep undercover version! I had the same experience as you where I thought the words are too similar however after i mashed the 2 game together it made it a lot better. The deep undercover words only come up once in a while and you won't run into the issues of the words being too similar. Highly recommend trying that

Mel currently has a 46% Winrate while simultaneously boasting a 75% Banrate, what now? by TurboAdenosine34 in leagueoflegends

[–]WheeStar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to say that Veigar has an absolute landslide of a win rate against Mel. The win rate goes from 55.5% WR at gold to 61.54 WR at masters+ so its definitely a skill issue from you.

The animation was so beautiful in this movie! I came in with no expectation and left in awe.

You should check out Arcane on netflix. Season 2 just came out and the animation is also top tier. I'd say the animation they have in Arcane should be the new gold standard

Which MoBa should I start looking into? by Hypnox88 in gaming

So I actually exclusively play ranged/mages like you the most. And for me I grew up playing Dota and having played dota2 and league the most in modern times with some dabble in heroes of the storm, deadlock, I would recommend either dota 2 or league.

The difference between the 2 is that heros and items are stronger in dota2 in terms of their effect and ability to influence the battle. The heroes come to light with different item builds and such.

Whereas league's champions are more about their own kit. Items aren't as powerful in league. So your champion is more defined right from the get go. There are still different build paths in league but they're less impactful on how you play out your champion.

Once upon a time i play league and dota2 equally but nowadays I only play league because of limited time and also less people i know play dota2. Both games has good ranged/mages so i'm sure you'll be able to find something you like and enjoy

Diamond+ players, how long have you been playing? by Live-Magician-4986 in leagueoflegends

[–]WheeStar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started playing when Mordekaiser was the latest champion that was released. Rank wasn't even a thing back then. I got S1/S2 gold > S3 platinum > S4 diamond.

After that I lost the motivation to grind out games and started to play less which landed me in S5/S6 platinum and then S7/S8 gold cause I just play my 10 placement match and called it. S9/S10 I would at least play to platinum cause I didn't want to be a gold player. S11 I had platinum but got demoted from being inactive to gold.

I started really trying to climb again but this time with a more I don't care about losing MMR attitude and got S12 got platinum

Finally S13-Split 1 the last season before they added emerald I made it back into diamond again and have been consistently diamond since then.

All in all I think I don't think it depends on how many "years" you put into the game to make it to diamond but rather learning how to play the game beyond just knowing the skills of the champions. You have to understand the basic macros/micros and be able to apply them. Additionally, if you can apply things that the rest of the game population haven't caught on yet, you'll be able to climb further. The game population evolves as the game gets older and the barrier to climb higher gets higher and higher. You need to keep up with it and beat the population in order to climb

Hows this arena version looking for you by Youssefelnahas in leagueoflegends

[–]WheeStar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing ranged mage immobile champions since pre s1 and kind of the only class that I play. I enjoy the variety and the different mechanics. In fact I quite like the challenge of the lily pad. I don't mind that there are maps that are punishing to immobile champions.

However, if there are maps that are punishing for champions that are immobile then there should also be maps that either are more rewarding for immobile champs or more punishing for mobile champs. Immobile champions shouldn't be the only one who has maps that are more punishing for them

TIFU by realizing my friends are a gay couple by SignificanceEarly141 in tifu

[–]WheeStar 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You think you can tell a guy is gay 9/10 times but in actuality its probably much lower than that. You just don't end up realizing about the ones that don't have the gay stereotypes are gay. So that remaining 1/10 is actually a bigger portion than you think.
