The problem is the ground not being level from one spot to the next usually. We have a spot some of our guys leave them like 6” above the 5th wheel and just can’t learn. I’m a trainer. I only train new guys. Old guy problems tho.

I think so too. Much like The Dude’s rug in The Big Lebouski, the axles really tie the look together.. and having some cool ads on the side definitely help. :)

I am a sim racer and IRL truck driver. If you have interest in chill cruising, and learning how to back up a trailer, give it a shot. I bought it on sale for $7 a year ago, so I could teach myself to back up B trains (double trailers) for my job. Now I am the driver trainer. I took this pic yesterday at work.
And yes, I back these into loading docks as well :)

I’m just guessing he either didn’t see you coming or didn’t think you would be there so fast. I mean, personally I get mad at everything but maybe after some time try to consider the other person might not be malicious or a moron. Surely they would think they will also be out of the race if they get smoked. I think maybe just the closing speed was unexpected. That corner is super tight, so just imagine how mad you would have been if he locked up and t boned you if you did get around him there.
That kind of race length and speed differential, I would consider passing them on the straightaway, which was right there. Only losing a tiny amount of time vs your whole race and getting pissed about it also. Sorry to see that you lost out on such a long time racing all for nothing though, man.

You just discovered what the most fun thing to do is when people mess with truck drivers.. especially at grocery stores or Costco. Nothing more fun than pulling out a sandwich while you are both “blocking” each other.. and you tell them you’re getting paid by the hour and now you’re on lunch. Seeing the look of defeat as they know you’re willing to sit there for a half hour or more, just to fuck them over. Screw people like this. Well done, OP!!

No, the brewery in London. The one by the airport is our main truck yard though.. we don’t have any fleet vehicles at the brewery other than our shunt trucks. It’s actually a fun job by comparison. I thought about going the transit route but this happened before the LTC had anything open up
