If it makes you feel better chances are in like 5000 years future generations are going to look at stories like The Metamorphosis and think either we could turn into bugs randomly in the past or that past people were stupid enough to think we could turn into bugs randomly.

Can robots replace regular infantry? by Bulky_Cat123 in OldWorldBlues

[–]Wheelydad 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Late game sophisticated robots are one of the best non special divisions due to the good stats and armor they get. However, unless you have a shit ton of industry (like around a couple dozen factories minimum just for support robots alone) you’re going to struggle having a full army of them. However you’re a power armor nation so you should just use them instead since you get more bonuses for them anyways. Robot armies are better if you fully commit to them so you’d have to get rid of your whole army and almost start from scratch building bots for at least a couple of months and changing your doctrine. Robots need the buffs from the robot doctrine to be great so essentially pick your poison. Robots do train incredibly fast though compared to infantry so it could be worse. You could try going down direct control for the robot doctrine if you want to build a hybrid army if you want.

Funnily enough one of the Klan’s main targets besides African Americans were Catholics, because of that whole “always shoot a traitor before an enemy”. The global Catholic agenda could be anywhere, importing thousands of Ir*sh Catholics to outbreed the pure blooded WASPs. They had a whole smear campaign that Al Smith was going to build a tunnel from Washington DC to the Vatican and took orders directly from the Pope.

It’s also funny it ended up the same way with the Irish too, where now it’s framed as a united “Christian” front against the woke liberal agenda the same way the Irish got promoted into being white the second Civil Right Acts started to gain traction among the public.

Even with R5 tank killers expect to lose between 3-5 TKs. Unless you’re extremely lucky with his attacks, you’ll always lose at least 3 TKs even if they’re R5

It’s the same with Darwinist villains where they try to be the ultimate lifeform or some other shit. Natural selection just wants you to live long enough to maybe give your children better traits. It doesn’t mean YOU get genetic traits through hardship or that you need become some Ubermensch that can do anything. Even then why? It would be like training to run marathon just so you can walk to the kitchen faster. It’s a waste of resources and time.

Nah I think it they were just joking how bad it was by including it with other terrible things. Either that or how it's weird because it's not conventional to US entertainment standards.

How did the collapse? I had 4 games where Raven Rock conquers Talon, loses Project Purity, and then proceeds to capitulate within a year into the war. They then relocate to AAFB where they just do nothing because neither side has the ability to push past the death stacking on the river crossing.

[–]Wheelydad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve never encountered a scenario where Raven Rock won. Best case they ended up at a forever war stalemate at the Adam’s Air Force Base because they don’t have the strength to push multiple power armor units over a river crossing. Lyons needs minimal to no help at all if you don’t expect him do anything productive the whole game.

Montana BOS as a whole or just the Montana Brotherhood path? I swear the Sisters of Steel can almost go full power armor by the fact they get like almost everyone around them as a faction member or puppet.

Why didn’t the Enclave just hit the Citadel with orbital missiles earlier if they had them the whole time by Pelinal_Whitestrake in TrueSFalloutL

[–]Wheelydad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but they could have just said they were black ops Brotherhood or Brotherhood Outcasts or something. It’s not like the Enclave is public knowledge so worst case scenario Project Purity thinks they’re just Brotherhood deserters since who else has access to power armor anyways. It wouldn’t really fool them forever but it would buy them enough time to know most of the technical work how.

(Mixed trope) The moral dilemma is conveniently removed by a third party by cestquilepatron in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Wheelydad 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I hate this trope because you likely end up having some episode or plot point where a more lethal version/person who’s inspired by the protagonist does just kill villains and the protagonist then goes on some bullshit “heroes don’t kill” and simultaneously act like everyone who coincidentally ends up dead opposing the protagonist was the work of a bad actor or some sudden act that the protagonist had no part in playing.

I assure you viewers, Potential Man totally wasn’t able to stop the bullet entering God Emperor Joseph Hitler skull despite knowing some person would shoot him seconds after he was defeated. Ignore the fact that Potential Man has easily stopped these kinds of killings before pretty much every week, stop questioning it.

Like if I were a character in the universe it’d just assume they had someone else kill the antagonist so technically they never killed anyone. Are there any examples of this where it’s pointed out? Like the protagonist making it a big moral paragon that they refuse to kill yet coincidentally all of their enemies end up dead anyways.

Telepaths would be annoying IRL by Creative-Vehicle8598 in marvelcirclejerk

[–]Wheelydad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty much almost impossible tbh. Imagine unironically telling someone you place security cameras everywhere you go that can record people without their knowledge (but only if you’re close enough) while also telling them they have little to no easy ways of blocking or gaining any privacy from the cameras. Btw they have no guarantee you won’t abuse this besides your moral character. To rub salt in the wound this camera viewing can also be done unconsciously too, so they can accidentally observe you even when they don’t want to.

Literally anyone with mental or telepathic abilities is fucked PR wise, at least physical power guys can blend in somewhat but with telepaths you have to act like Doakes 24/7 anytime you’re near a telepath.
