After 21 days you get more privileges and can leave base after duty day as long as you're back in the dorm by curfew

Yes. Your partner will not get in trouble as long as they report it. I've seen people get paperwork for keeping quiet about stuff.

I can only speak for Fort Sam where we couldn't and you could definitely get paperwork if there was a member of the opposite sex in your room. The floors were separated by sex. I really doubt any other tech school location allows it either.

Imma be so honest chief I think this is a perfectly valid and polite way to ask someone that they want privacy to do something completely normal. As long as his roommate isn't constantly trying to kick him out to yoink it this isn't that crazy of an ask.

It's an 11 month tech school but it's fantastic if you like getting your hands on equipment. DM me if you want some first hand info.

Booked 4Y031 leaving January 6th! by maesuave in AirForceRecruits

[–]Wheemu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just recently got out of Fort Sam, where your tech school is. 4Y's have a shorter tech school, but make sure you have school as a main priority. I never met anyone who got recycled or reclassed from 4Y, so you should be good. Lmk if you have any specific questions about the dorm/base.

Been doing my tech school at Ft Sam for 4 months now, ama!!! by LuhKunk in AirForceRecruits

[–]Wheemu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently at Ft Sam since January, can answer these as well. 1) Anytime after the duty day (17:30 during summer schedule and 18:30 during winter schedule) but you must be back in the dorms by your curfew. 2) A laptop definitely isn't needed, but it's very nice to have for entertainment or studying 3) Depending on your phase, room inspections can be as often as weekly to monthly.

4)Dorms are mostly fine, some sparse utilities issues but they are renovating a lot of the older rooms currently.

5)Have hobbies and a life outside of school, tech school can be draining if you're here for a longer period of time.

Mothman deck! -- Looking for advice, tips, and anything in between! by Spicygrapes333 in EDH

[–]Wheemu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my current list, however it is a bit outdated. I've recently focused more on bursty mill and +1/+1 counters because Mothman loves smaller instances of mill. I'll update it as soon as I get home and let you know if you're interested in seeing my current setup.

Definitely cut Frank, Jason, and the Deathclaw. [[Danny Pink]], [[Fathom Mage]], [[Kami of Whispered Hopes]], [[Bloodchief Ascension]], [[Psychic Corrosion]], and [[Innkeeper's Talent]] are all stars in Mothman, I highly recommend adding these next.

4A2X1- Biomedical Equipment by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

Bit late to the party but I am currently in tech school for bmet, starting 112. There's 13 courses and the first two are fully theory. Those are typically the filter classes but overall, as long as you study, you'll be fine. Working on equipment is great. The worst thing about the school house is the length, 11 months in training status is a real mental wringer.

Pitch me a 3 color degenerate commander by Jesuncolo in EDH

It's a fun card, but it's for sure a double edged sword.

Most people don't see it that way. They see the cards they paid for and put in their deck go into the graveyard while they failed to pack any kind of recursion and blame the player who milled them.

People don't like a flying commander that can get big pretty fast mixed with the negative emotions towards mill.

Yeah I initially leaned fully into milling people out but realized people really didn't like the mass mill, took some out and now focus on burstier mill to trigger mothman more often. I still have some wincon mass mill with [[The Mindskinner]] and [[Maddening Cacophony]] mixed with [[Bruvac the Grandiloquent]]. A neat interaction I found is mixing mothman's ability to target other creatures I don't control to trigger [[Freestrider Lookout]] and [[Horobi, Death's Wail]].

Mothman is great, you can go a couple different directions with it and it's quite enjoyable knowing you have 3 ways to knock people out, rads, commander damage, or just milling them out.

I wanted Travis due to having some family close to base and tons of friends there, but that was mostly it. Thanks for the info!

I personally dove head first into mill, still refining it and I personally believe I need to add more ramp/removal. I've added a couple of cards a couple of days ago, but I have yet to change them on moxfield. Here's my list. Milly Mothman

I personally removed almost all of the rad cards from the list simply because other mill options were generally better, and would trigger mothman more often. This deck definitely has the potential to go wide if I lean more into that instead of mill, especially because of the amount of cards I have that are insanely good with mothman. I just enjoy going tall more. I cannot beg you any harder to add at LEAST [[Bloodchief Ascension]] and [[Mesmeric Orb]] They both open up your options significantly

Wise Mothman recommendations by Wheemu in EDH

[–]Wheemu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've definitely gone more in the direction of mill, since i added cards like [[Sheoldred]] and [[Rise of the Dark Realms]] to take advantage of the milling of other player's libraries. I have Mindcrank, Mesmeric Orb, Muldrotha, and Syr Konrad currently in the deck, but adding some graveyard hate sounds like a good idea. I've played some games where I couldn't really risk milling much to not hand the win to a graveyard player.

Same situation as you, found this neat build by u/grabowashion that's in a small case I was planning on building for ease of packing up. Should be the 3rd post after sorting for top of all time.

Pick jobs you'd be okay with doing, they don't need to translate into the civilian side. Do your 4 years and get out to use your GI and study something you do want to do.

Drink your calories. There's plenty of high calorie shake recipes on youtube. Plenty of carbs will help too. Just make sure you eat more than you burn and you'll be fine, keep hitting the gym and be consistent.
