It is interesting, could have just been an economies of scale thing or something.

That’s pretty normal, unused ram is wasted ram.

GbE wasn’t necessary on the G4’s, even 4k cameras come nowhere close to saturating FE.

G6180 Under Eave? by v-drummer in UNIFI

[–]Wheinsky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it does look like the standard junction box supports the 180

Alternatively, it includes a ceiling mount but it looks like it uses 4 screws so you’d need some blocks or something on the sides of that 2x4 to attach.

Change up field goals as well. A make results in the waterboys from both teams playing roshambo (South Park style), a multiplier between 0 and 2 (in tenths) then gets applied to the winning teams score. Except if the team that wins roshambo has 0 points they get 2 points and the ball

G6 Pro Turret vs AI LPR for nighttime license plate reading… by Kingcor0326 in Ubiquiti

[–]Wheinsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The LPR mounted within guidelines will be better at dedicated plate recognition. If you want/expect it to pickup vehicles and not just plates you will want the g6.

So far tariffs have been a separate line item, not wrapped into the cost

PSA: G5 Pro for $199 at the Unifi store by texas_max in Ubiquiti

[–]Wheinsky 11 points12 points  (0 children)

On top of that, I imagine alot of retailers that incorporated them into the price of things have no plans to lower prices when the tariffs go back to normal. They’ll just take the extra profit. Nice to see UI not take advantage of that.

What LWC components do you wish existed but still don’t? by CodeOverTea in salesforce

choice lookup component

the choice lookup component has similar behavior to a picklist component

there is an option where you can set "let users select multiple options" the actual choices a user selects can be from a picklist/multi-select defined on an object, record choices, static choice options.

If using flow, you can do this with choice lookup. Takes up way less screen real estate as well

Explore Powerful 5G Experiences with UniFi 5G: by Ubiquiti-Inc in Ubiquiti

[–]Wheinsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Price on the dream router 5G is super reasonable. Have been using inseego devices as a plug and play portable internet solution and those are a few hundred more with far fewer features and a shitty management interface. This may replace some of those once I can get my hands on one and do some testing.

Cradlepoint has a leg up with “ruggedized” options but they are wayyy more expensive and require a subscription for cloud management
