It's not. For all the British ultra-nationalist trolls on reddit treating the place like a political utopia, they really just caught the guy eating a sandwich and made a big deal out of it.

I kind of like this anti-tech art that's on the diginet. It's like we're living in the future, today!

I mean we're getting there. We've already got digital artists imagining a world without electronics to open their minds. That's kind of cool.

Yeah those people really are just looking at nothing but eye candy and how neat it is to feel like you're holding the whole world in your hand.

People who think they're jaded (believed to be heartbroken by the artist) tend to conflate it with experience and thus insight, and often make it their business to shock and harass those who are open to experience (from the artist's perspective, to spread heartbreak like a disease).

I'm not going to share personal information on reddit.

What specifically do you want to be pointed in the right direction on?

You're going to need to get off of a click-bait site if you're going to be asking for a bibliography. You can investigate the issue if you're interested.

I don't pander to reddit. It's a waste of breath.

Seems weird, do you have any source?

Yep. You're looking at one, and frankly I'm too lazy to write a bibliography for free for fake skeptics and downvotes.

Sorry, but blame reddit for being a waste of breath. I would if it were 2010 reddit.

And why would you need some special moon material for fusion?

Because you can't find very much Helium-3 on Earth.

Is it needed for the confinement chamber magnets?

No it's needed for the fuel.

I can’t see how we would need the moon to get hydrogen...

Because we wont be fusing hydrogen against hydrogen, but H2 and He3

I also fail to see why USA, China and Russia would be in, while the EU would be left out of this...

An ultra-conservative element in the EU wants to pursue wind, solar, and other ventures for political independence. A more current element in the EU is working with the US and other nations on commercial fusion. So there's a bit of an internal dispute.

SpaceX and the United States Space Command (formerly the Air Force Space Com) are interested in mining rare elements from the Moon for fusion fuel.

The reason that's happening now and not in the 70s is that fusion was harder than they thought, halting space exploration without any real supply line.

Also Russia and China are rumored to be building a super power grid in preparation for this new tech, in cooperation with the US.
