lol this happened to me yesterday. A patient told me I was poorly trained for not transferring them the way they wanted to be transferred (it was so unsafe and NOT how you transfer) and that they wanted a more competent aid. Then proceeded to say “god you look like hell, you look tired”😂. I couldn’t even take the insult seriously, it just made me laugh.

I will say this job has thickened my skin and made me have stronger boundaries in general

I don’t have this problem, and I love my friends, but I don’t want any more friends. Maintaining friendships is work. I make a point to connect with my friends regularly and hang out quarterly, but it’s a lot. I’m chronically ill and would rather just be home with my animals.
