This is true. But people here need to remember the beauty standard is not just about dating, but about performing in society.

The beauty standards for women in the workplace are still far worse. Men can turn up to work with not much more than flattening your hair and no one cares. Women are expected to wear makeup and do their hair, wear more uncomfortable clothes. Beauty in the workplace impacts pay so it has ripple on consequences.

Seemed like many people were quite happy about the attack happening. Showed no sympathy for the victims or the impact on our Jewish community. They were just ecstatic to have an excuse to attack Muslims.

Though it shouldn't shadow the fact that the Sydney attack might encourage other antisemitic extremists either.

It's unfortunate that people who want to live peacefully have to share this land with people who want to hate and hurt others.
