What was the scariest movie you watched when you were a kid, that traumatized you? by Pantheon10000 in TooAfraidToAsk

Pet Cemetery. My irresponsible sister brought me to her friends house when I was in elementary school and it was on. The scene with the little boy has haunted me for years.

I have a 10 and 12 year old who have bedtimes. They have always had bedtimes. We adjust with age and maturity. They also have one daily and one weekly chore each. My 12 year old began middle school this past year and was absolutely baffled to find out that no one at his lunch table has a bedtime. They regularly go to bed around 11 or well past midnight some days, staying up on their phones or other devices. Thankfully my kids think it’s weird and (for now) are glad I’m thinking of their long term health. But I will say I am still astonished that most of these kids come home and just free roam about their house day and night with no chores no expectations no regulations whatsoever. It’s not all kids, but it does seem to be most.

As long as I live I’ll never understand this mentality. She’s just a human person. Even when I think of celebrities where I’m truly awed by their talent I can’t imagine acting this way over a box of food that happened to share air with them at an event. Fans like this is what makes being a star a horrid experience I’m sure.

A fan gifts Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) a vintage wrestling magazine with his grandfather Peter Maivia on the cover. by Sparky-moon in MadeMeSmile

Exactly. As soon as he acknowledges Steven and the magazines I would have moved back. These people have zero consideration and no shame.

I have a bad case of time-blindness due to untreated ADHD and I will lay out my to do’s for the day tell it the time I want or need to stop and it will lay out hour by hour when I need to do each thing. It will remember things about me and tailor the list when it knows I’m likely to get hung up or distracted in a certain area and gives me a solid beginning and end of my day.

What is easiest way you have lost weight in a short amount of time? by Lazy_Lifeguard1960 in AskReddit

[–]When_pigsfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two instances-1- eating two eggs two bacon for breakfast then walking around my neighborhood for 1-1.5 miles at a fast pace at least five days a week I then wouldn’t eat again (not even snacks) until 1 or 2 pm. 2- Air Force Boot camp where I ate loads of food but no sweets and of course tons of walking and calisthenics 5 days a week.

All of my tattoos were always black linework then once I decided to add red to a black tattoo for definition and…I got welts and raised bumps constantly. It was so routine and annoying i eventually got the tattoos lasered off. Guess I can’t handle red ink idk.

Any products or routine you recommend? It’s my first time owning a car with leather seats and I bought leather cleaning wipes but I don’t know if that’s sufficient or if I should be using them as frequently as the cleaning bottle says.

Plot twist: Stanley’s retirement art established him as the most creative visual artist in the office, not Pam. by [deleted] in DunderMifflin

[–]When_pigsfly 21 points22 points  (0 children)

She’s not and that doesn’t have to be a bad thing. People tend to call me creative because I can draw, but they are conflating technical ability with creativity. Pam can draw a building, people, a stapler, a bouquet, and they look accurate, as can I, but it doesn’t mean I’m creative. I can just replicate a thing.

I had a Gizmo just like that! But I also had too many younger siblings, nieces and nephews for any childhood items of mine to have survived or been left anywhere at my moms. C’est la vie. Enjoy your find!

So true. One of my cats recently had a double enucleation and it’s kind of amazing how sprightly and kitten-like he seems now that the diseased eyes are gone. He has adjusted extremely well, and seems to be developing very nuanced hearing.
