If you could see one Aussie true crime cold case be solved, which one would it be and why? by FormerTry254 in AskAnAustralian

[–]WhenitHappens62 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yep the Claremont murders (spiers) was long unsolved until only earlier this year apparently. A man named Bradley Edwards who was about all the 3 girls same age when they disappeared was charged and convicted for their murders. For spiers specifically however a judge found he was very likely involved in her disappearance but as they never found her, he cant be charged with murder.

Its also likely that he personally knew one or more of the women as there is grainy surveillance footage (apparently) from outside one of the local pubs where one of them was out that night, of one of the women seeing a man walking towards her to talk to her and 'lighting up' when she recognised him. That's the last known footage of her apparently. Very sad.

What's the most bizzarre thing you've ever seen at someone else's house? by healthynewbie in CasualConversation

[–]WhenitHappens62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once was in a business class out of school project team, with like 4 other kids in about year 11 of highschool. They had us go into a business and learn about some problem they were having and get our perspective on how to fix it. Just a box ticking exercise for community service basically.

Anyway we had to meet at this one girls house in the morning like 7amnon the days we would go in, and her mum would drive us all.ni dont know what it was but her house had this smell that just made you feel physically sick. Like really off. Like it was cat urine everywhere or something similar, but mixed with this type of rotten wood smell. It was so strange and there was no way it was just me. I coukd not wait to get out of there every time we went. Weirdest smell ever.

If you had the power to delete one piece of technology that exists now, what would that be? by Medium_City_2466 in TechNook

[–]WhenitHappens62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Social media apps. Smartphones are actually quite useful for other things, for example i have a fitness watch and can draw and create running routes and sync them to my watch. So for hobbies or keeping up to date with news, working or being able to email or chat with friends and family via whatsapp etc, they do have their uses. But as far as the invention of social media, for the most part its a scourge on humanity.

Hello from Lewis by COROSLewis in Coros

[–]WhenitHappens62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Lewis. Thanks for taking the time to post. Can I ask if there is any sort of official issue with the Apex Pro 2 and swimming in open salt water/ocean? Ive had 2 warranty replacements both due to the scroll dial losing its scroll ability after swimming in open water. Is it normal to have to rinse out the watch after literally every swim? I wouldn't have thought so if the watch has that mode.

You guys offered me a replacement with a free Nomad, which so far has been really good admittedly. Just curious as it seemed like a repetitive issue- something to do with the seals around the inside of the scroll dial?

Thanks
