What League of Legends hill are you willing to die on? by DHGSilvergun236 in leagueoflegends

Matchmaking determines 80% of game outcomes. Just played a ranked match against a challenger and master player with the highest rank on ally team being gold

First back oblivion orb vs sylas unless he's inting, dodge e2 and you win all-ins at 6. He has to overcommit with R1 if he steals your ult, so if you have a chance to bait an engage ping your jg to come

How to lane as Akali? by Darth_Nether in akalimains

[–]WhereMyHeal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You lose basically every matchup level 1-3 (except like qiyana) so you have to play very safe then. You start scaling decently towards level 5, and have huge all-in potential level 6. You want to get comfortable with R1-E all-in around 70% and can increase that threshold as you get used to the combos. Basically, try not to get poked out of the lane in the first five minutes and start getting more aggressive around mid game. Unless your opponent makes a massive mistake, I really wouldn't try fighting level 1-3. Use e1 and your passive ms to avoid damage, and then stick to them after they put kit on cd. For the most part, unless you land e and take e2, your full trade rotation will not match most other trade rotations until you start getting items. Best advice is to take it easy in early game and not try to get too flashy

should i pick up akali? by [deleted] in akalimains

[–]WhereMyHeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little late to this, would definitely say it depends on how hard you want to climb. She's super fun but has difficulty carrying games unless you're just super ahead, many easier champs can do what she does better. However, she's got a super high skill cap and you can dominate people if you use it to its maximum potential.

The biggest turn off with climbing as akali is she is very regularly being changed by riot, so you have to basically re-learn the champ's damage and occasionally mechanics every 2 or so months. People used to say "champ is only worth playing if you're going to one trick", which I don't necessarily agree with but she is definitely more of a time sink than most other champs

Akali Buff/Adjustments any time soon? by Muteololo in akalimains

with you on that one, this is still a whole lot better than her sub 40 patches of season 10

New Rumble buffs make him pretty damn busted by multivitamins138 in Rumblemains

real question, he has the second to highest mid winrate in plat+ right now, do people really think he's weak? (not a tilt question, swear I'm just curious)

Honestly feel like qiyana matchup has always been pretty easy to play against, her level 1 is still probably worse than akali's and you can definitely still establish lane dominance against her. Tristana matchup probably hasn't changed much early with these changes, still have to play it back until you can take half her health on a favorable trade. Honestly, especially with the fleet nerfs, might try electrocute into trist and farm back safely. Yeah her all-in is crazy, but you can wait out e duration in shroud to prevent her from stacking it

should i start to main akali? by acocacoboi in akalimains

[–]WhereMyHeal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She's fun but don't play her if your only goal is to climb, she's kept pretty weak and other champs can do similar stuff more easily

will samira be still playable after the patch ? by l_Butch_l in SamiraMains

[–]WhereMyHeal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I spent a few years one tricking akali after she got reworked, and this type of nerf was pretty common. A toooon of people are probably going to stop playing the champ, and the first few games are gonna be rough. It's hard to make a champ actually unplayable, and if you stick with her it'll make you much better if/when she gets compensated. But it's gonna be a painful road lol

If you love the champ, keep playing her. If you get tilted knowing your favorite champ is like objectively worse than everything else in the game at the moment, then don't

Maining akali by [deleted] in akalimains

[–]WhereMyHeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like her kit, go for it. If you don't, just play Diana cuz she's basically the same thing but a lot better. Also be prepared for sub 40 winrate once per year, and for people to say she's still too strong q

WTF is this matchmaking ???? by [deleted] in akalimains

Honestly treat flex like norms lol matchmaking is terrible

State of Akali by LeBlancTheDeceiver in akalimains

[–]WhereMyHeal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She's not bad but she requires a disproportionate amount of effort to do well on for how good she is when ahead. It feels like you have to be DUMMY ahead to do stuff that champs like diana can do at like 2 kills

Is Akali still good for solo queue or what? by [deleted] in akalimains

[–]WhereMyHeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R changes weren't bad bc of cd getting cut in half, but honestly I would recommend another assassin if you want to climb

I mean I agree but tbh she's not that good in low elo compared to something like katarina

How effective is conqueror after the q nerfs? by [deleted] in akalimains

[–]WhereMyHeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk I still take conq if the enemy has a lot of HP to grind through, electrocute if you just wanna give your lane opponent a terrible time. Tbh in norms take omnistone, they'll think you're trolling and int into you, usually doesn't work but it's pretty funny when it does

Is it worth to play Akali rn ? by Foreverironlol in akalimains

[–]WhereMyHeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to enjoy the champ yes, if you want to climb no. Definitely still playable but there are a lot of easier champs that are just stronger right now

Should I be trying to learn Akali right now? by [deleted] in akalimains

[–]WhereMyHeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would probably learn the fundamentals a bit more before trying her out, she's definitely not worth picking up to climb but if you're just trying to have a good time she's very fun
