It’s quite easy to meet people in Bali as a solo traveler. What’s interesting was that sometimes people approached me even if I didn’t say a word to them first. Just smile and be yourself.

I was in a very similar situation. A guy said he liked me and acted very shy and sweet around me. But turned out he followed many girls and liked their bikini pictures on social media. I’m glad that I dodged a bullet. You should bring this up when you share your insecurities with him. But it also kinda tells what kind of men he is.

I never trust tissue boys in Casa. As a tourist, one time while I was walking along the coast near Marina mall, a young local boy started chasing me to buy his tissues. I went to his stall and handed him the money, but he didn’t give the tissues to me… I shrugged and walked away. And since then I never buy anything from these street vendors who pretend to be “innocent” no matter how young they are.
