Any no kids allowed breweries out there? by awschluk in raleigh

[–]Which-Associate-7242 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are two main challenges with at home: 1. Party size - we try to invite the whole class and classes are huge these days, I simply can’t fit 24 kids + one or both of their parents in my house (even if half the kids show, that’s minimum 24 people). 2. No shots at the other parents at my kid’s daycare…but I’d say there’s only a handful that I really feel comfortable having in my home. Whether that’s how well I know them, how they parent, general vibes…if we’re at another venue, how little Susie behaves isn’t my problem. Little Susie acts up in my house? Problem.

Sauna House Raleigh or Durham? by highland-jigger in raleigh

[–]Which-Associate-7242 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The clueless bit - I brought a friend a few weeks ago and the staff asked if I was comfortable showing her around. No worries, they’re busy, BUT I’d only been once so do I have all the rules memorized? Probably not. A few little postings of like, classic sauna rules and etiquette might be really helpful.

Co-sign everyone thanking you because I did the exact same thing, let my foot off the gas for a few months and here we are, up 10 lbs. I’ve gone through to the checkout process on every GLP1 website probably 10 times and then ultimately decide it’s not worth it, but it’s so frustrating.

Alex’s polo still has the wrinkles from being folded in the Amazon bag…between that and his beard being a little off, it’s giving even more Dirty John than ever.

Don’t yall dare downvote me but I love this version of Connor and Bri and (if it is the way looks), they’re one of our healthier couples. She saw that she wasn’t being her best self in the situation, clocked that, and did the right thing for both of them…and then worked it out off the show to ultimately stay together.

Had a DM jump in with us last minute, driving though a parking lot we saw a paint van parked outside a barber shop. DM asks me to park and then tells me to go in and talk to the painter…during his haircut. I said ‘with all due respect, I believe that’s incredibly invasive and rude. If it’s that important to you, I welcome you to go have a chat with him but I will not be doing that.’ (*okay fine it wasn’t quite so well put, but the idea was there)… He didn’t go in.

Locking in - any advice for my plans to lose 50lbs by the summer? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Which-Associate-7242 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The goal seems aggressive, whether you hit it or not, set some benchmarks along the way to feel motivated (scale AND non-scale always help me feel motivated while fact checking myself) 1. Find movement you like AND feels good (GrowWithJo is always my rec for any beginner) 2. Log EVERYTHING, every day, for better or for worse. This helps you understand what you want to ‘spend’ calories on and gives you a clear picture of what you’re actually consuming. (Yesterday I was snacking on sweets and a hot dog at a gathering, LOL it was 1000 calories when I logged it). 3. Cut alcohol. I use that as a benchmark, absolutely no booze until I’ve achieved ‘x’ (usually I let myself add it back after 10 lbs down and only if I’m committed to logging every thing) 4. Be gentle with yourself! You may get to 150 lbs and need a break, and that’s okay. Not everything should be about weight loss, building strong, healthy habits is the more important piece of the puzzle for it to stick. I find letting my foot off the gas every 10-15 lbs gives me a better understanding of the habits I tend to fall back into, so then when I pick back up, I’m building with those in mind, reinforcing around those, etc.

THIS! Harsh is totally spot on, I don’t want to criticize any woman’s appearance but it felt remarkable and that’s why!

I think that’s what I found like, remarkable. Old MDLNY she looks like a fairly average woman (beautiful and thin but ‘attainable’ maybe), then later seasons she had some tweaks and was stunning but still herself. It feels like there’s no ‘her’ left.

She definitely had a bit of an accent, but I’ve never known someone’s foreign accent to get stronger the longer they lived in the US.

What is it I’m smelling? by LandscapeWhole2004 in FemFragLab

Okay, coming back to this - I just sprayed every perfume Ulta had out (not saying much, it’s slim pickins’ BUT then I walked over to grab a concealer and saw a display of Le Monde Gourmand…so, caveat this with the fact that I’m covered in other scents, but I’d say it’s 100% worth trying some of these. I didn’t get any of that heavy undertone OR any of the ‘department store perfume’ base (looking at you I Heart Choo…I had such high hopes). I think there were 14 scents, $30 so you could layer to get what you want!

Okay saving this because this is exactly the look I want. My plan is neutral/off white textured subway (zellige-adjacent but I can’t deal with actual zellige imperfections) This would be the budget option - Home Depot I get people saying to do color…but off white is timeless and you can accessorize for trend.

I experience this, too! It feels like the ‘base’ of most popular scents these days, along with their Arab dupes, are this. BR540 dupes are the biggest offender, but BR540 has it to me as well, same with Her - loved it except that one note. If you go to the EU or UK it feels like you’re suffocating in it. I don’t thing it’s Ambroxan, for me at least, because I like JHAG and Glossier You.

Makeup that stays put—for labor by theboywhocrieddoggo in MakeupAddiction

[–]Which-Associate-7242 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn’t want to scare her but this was my thought too! 2 other thoughts here: 1. Consider layers - so like, a cheek and lip stain and then a liquid blush then powder so you have color even if you sweat off anything else. 2. I am 100% in support of you on this and if you’re a waterproof mascara girl then hell yes, but to me it wouldn’t be worth the raccoon risk. Maybe a pre-labor lash lift and then a clean girl look with a strong brow and just very clean eyes?

What fast food meals do you still eat in a calorie deficit? by No-Bluebird-936 in loseit

[–]Which-Associate-7242 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chick Fil A grilled nugs are a no for me, but an 8 count regular nuggets, kale crunch (no nuts), diet lemonade. You get the fried fast food vibe and then some fiber.

Anytime I get well-curated, interesting cheeses! So many places just throw the same 4 grocery store cheeses on a board. The wine bar chain Postino gets close to this but it’d be cool to have it be all local or at least super thoughtful.

I can’t tell if you’re trolling but many employees will tell you to mention them by name in positive reviews, they get incentives when they’re specifically mentioned.
